052 Happy Employees Increase Productivity - Golden Nugget Friday

This episode was inspired by my guest Jane Anderson from episode 051. Just think about that for a minute, are your staff your number one client? With out our staff our businesses can fall apart. They are ones the on the front line of the business and often the first point of contact for our customers and clients.   Happy staff are also more productive. A recent study by economists at the University of Warwick found that happiness led to a 12% spike in productivity, while unhappy workers proved 10% less productive.

Show Notes & Links   Jane Anderson is a personal branding expert, author & executive career coach and key note speaker with over 20 year’s experience. Jane is one of Australia’s leading thought leaders on Influence using personal branding and author of IMPACT: How to Build Your Personal Brand for the Connection Economy.   She is obsessed with helping people survive through the “noise” in business, in particular for service professionals, women, teams, leaders and executives. Jane’s clients include Virgin Australia, IKEA, Lego, Mercedes Benz, Cisco, Australian Medical Association and University of Australia.   Jane also host a Podcast called the “Brand You Show” and is a mentor on the Thought Leaders Business School, Australia’s leading program for experts in their industry.

050 Janine Allis- From the 'burbs to Bowie to Boost

Janine and her husband Jeff expanded their retail empire and acquired Salsas Fresh Mex Grill and CIBO Espresso, under the holding company Retail Zoo. There are over 7000 staff between the four businesses.

Janine’s success earned her a spot as a shark on Shark Tank Australia where aspiring entrepreneur contestants pitch their businesses to a panel of "shark" investors.

An adventurer at heart, travelling the world as a young Aussie backpacker in the 80s, working from a camp counselor in San Francisco to a Stewardess of David Bowie’s yacht.
