Super Tuesday Recap - The Flash S3E23 Finish Line

What the hell was that? Kriss and Dpalm are back to review, discuss and rip apart the season 3 finale of The Flash. Seriously, we’re almost at a loss for words at what we watched. Sure, this season has had some rough moments, but we still expected this finale to rise above all of that and give us at least a solid footing to defend the season. But it doesn’t. From the cop out with the Iris/HR switch to Barry trying to play nice with Savitar, none of it is executed well. We go over all the plot holes and issues and hope that Season 4 the show brings back it’s ‘A’ game.

With nothing left to lose, Barry takes on Savitar in an epic conclusion.

Unanimous Decision #45: Take Two

Our war here at UDPod against the machines wages onward, but we have an ace up our sleeve this week: ESPN Alumni Nata joins us to talk all there is in sports...again. Technical difficulties notwithstanding, come to hear the DIY ethos that carried him all the way to Bristol and what lies next in the ever changing sports landscape. Plus, we talk NHL (I know), MLB (I KNOW!), and of course these NBA Playoffs. Topics:

HockeyTown, Tennessee! Aaron Judge and baseball's bad look. Feds need to pay Baylor a visit. New Mexico bad at laundering money. Texas on pace to make the same mistake North Carolina did. Locker room amenities: players hustling backwards. Celebrations back! LeBron James is the MVP every year. Is Kevin Durant a coward? No. MVP: Don't hinder Jinder.

Super Tuesday Recap - Nevertheless, She Persisted

Shanna & The Doctor are here to review the season 2 finale of Supergirl, "Nevertheless, She Persisted" . Rhea and Supergirl face off for the fate of the Earth in a season finale that is entertaining and attempts to close loose ends, but winds up being mildly dissatisfying with the lack of inclusion of some characters and plot holes here and there.  That said, it was a much better season and season finale than last season, earning the season an overall grade of B.

Supergirl challenges Rhea to battle to save National City. Meanwhile, Superman returns and Cat Grant offers Supergirl some sage advice.

Baywatch Review

Kriss is joined by Jax to review Baywatch starring Dwayne Johnson and Zach Efron. This definitely isn't a movie I would say a lot of people were looking out for. Obviously Baywatch was a popular TV show but I'm just not sure how that would translate to people being interested in a movie all these years later starring different people. Sure there are people that would go to see anything just because Johnson or Efron are in it. But dos that make it good? Well, in this case, the answer is yes. Baywatch doesn't take itself too seriously and takes the 21/22 Jump Street approach to bringing an old TV show to the big screen. And it's hilarious.

Stream or Download to get our full review.

Devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchanan butts heads with a brash new recruit. Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

Add in the promise of bringing back some old familiar faces and Season 5 really is bringing the entire show back to to the beginning. Listen to our full review and discussion.

Black Siren returns to give Chase help; Felicity plans a birthday party for Oliver; Lance is angry with Rene for missing the custody hearing about his daughter.

'Sleight' Review

Kriss is joined by Jax to review 'Sleight'. This film originally debuted at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival before it was picked up by WWE Studios and Blumhouse for distribution. There was a small amount of hype coming out of Sundance about this film. It has a black director/writer in J.D. Dillard as well as a black male lead in Jacob Latimore and was presented as almost an urban superhero origin story. Does it live up to that hype? Listen to us discuss the film to see if it does.

A young street magician (Jacob Latimore) is left to care for his little sister after their parents passing, and turns to illegal activities to keep a roof over their heads. When he gets in too deep, his sister is kidnapped, and he is forced to use his magic and brilliant mind to save her.

Super Tuesday Recap - Agents of Shield S4E22 World's End

The Agents of Shield review you've been waiting for! Kriss & Dpalm break down the season finale of Agents of Shield: "World's End". First of all, "World's End" is an action packed and emotional episode that sets up threads for next season. Credit should be given to Agents of Shield for being able  to do all of these things well in 42 minutes. And that doesn't even factor in bringing Ghostrider back. Robbie Reyes not only fit seamlessly into this episode but his inclusion also made sense.

And there's plenty more to love about this episode. The emotional moments with Mack, Hope & Yo-Yo. Also this episode ties the end of the season to the beginning with Daisy telling Fitz not to make the mistakes she did. Throw in a world seeded by LMDs now & somehow Coulson ending up in space and this was a monster of a finale.

Stream/Download to listen to our full review.

With the surprising emergence of Ghost Rider, Coulson and the team attempt to stop Aida from ending the world.

Super Tuesday Recap - The Flash S3E22 Infantino Street

Our latest review & discussion of The Flash is here. One more episode to go before the season finale of The Flash. While we've been critical of this season, Infantino Street, is a pretty good episode. Bringing back Wentworth Miller's Snart and pairing him up with Barry is always going to be a good for this show. Not only do Miller & Gustin have great chemistry together but their characters are perfect complements. Throw in King Shark and its a great time. Also, in a move that is sure to upset many, Iris's fate was always sealed. While it probably doesn't stick, we still have to give them credit for pulling this move. Dpalm gives a simple explanation as to how to undo this and defeat Savitar.

Also is the show is losing more casual fans because of some of the crazy concepts (i.e. all the time travel)?

Stream/Download to listen to our full review.

Barry chooses to use any means necessary to save the woman he loves; The Flash turns to Captain Cold for help.

Unanimous Decision #44: Collision Course?

The draft lottery is upon us, and the fortunes of WAY too many teams is in the balnace. Plus, we sift through the ashes of the Wizards and try to find a compelling series in the East, while Zaza has emerged as my all time playoff villian - and remember, I'm no Spurs fan. Plus, we've got an MVP of the week who successfully saved America's 5th major sport from disgrace.

Topics:

Draft Lottery Day: Will Henkie be vindicated? Lonzo Ball's family headed where? What is a Markelle Fultz? The world needed Wizards vs Cavs. Thanks for nothing Boston. Zaza dirty as hell. MVP: The man, the myth, the legend, the champ.

'Alien: Covenant' Review

Kriss and Phenom review 'Alien: Covenant', the Prometheus sequel from Ridley Scott. It's very very important to realize that this is a Prometheus sequel and NOT an Alien film. Also, it is very important that you watch the crew prologue trailer because these scenes introduce the characters and are NOT part of the actual movie. Overall, 'Alien: Covenant' shows the struggle between 20th Century Fox and Ridley Scott. Fox wants an Alien film to calm the cries from fans and Scott wants to go down a separate path with his Prometheus storyline. The end result is a rushed, mashed together mess. Stream/Download our full review.

Super Tuesday Recap - Arrow S5E21 Honor Thy Fathers

We've been singing the praises of this Season of Arrow for good reason, it's been really good. This episode, while good, does have some puzzling choices in it. While it's great to see Oliver back in the suit, we were expecting a bigger deal to be made about it. Despite that and other small issues, the theme they've been pushing with getting Oliver to let go of the paste and move forward has been  great one. Listen to our break down of this episode and let us know what you think.

'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword' Review

Kriss and Phenom review King Arthur: Legend of the Sword directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law and a bunch of other people that ultimately don't matter. This movie just flat out isn't good and isn't entertaining in any way. We break down what ultimately fails this movie and what your options are. Spoiler Alert: Just go watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 again and play Shadow of Mordor. Stream/Download our review for the whole review.

Robbed of his birthright, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy - whether he likes it or not.

Super Tuesday Recap - Agents of Shield S4E21 The Return

Week after Week we sing the praises of Agents of SHIELD. There's really nothing left to say. They managed to bring Fitz back full circle with his feelings towards Ward from Season 1. They also manage to use a clever way of recapping the earlier storylines by having Coulson catch the real Agent May up on what she missed when she was replaced by a robot. We then got some great performances by Ian De Caestecker and Mallory Jansen this episode. We're not really sure of the mindset of Fitz until about halfway through the episode. And Jansen has done a great job all season as Aida and really shines playing a newly humanized Aida that is being flooded with new human emotions.

There's so much in this episode. Stream/Download the episode to get our full recap and discussion.

Super Tuesday Recap - The Flash S3E21 Cause and Effect

We finally know who Savitar is. Well, if you've been even halfway paying attention this season it's been fairly obvious for a while now. This season has been plagued with some ill-timed breaks and pacing issues and that leads to some valid questions about this season as a whole and this episode. But Kriss & Dpalm see the bright side and point out some good things that work in this particular episode as well as give hope for how this season can finish strong in the last 3 episode. Also, Killer Frost does a better Iceman than the X-Men movies ever have.

Character Corner: Green Lanterns Part 3 - War of Light, Blackest Night & More

We're finally ready to finish off the Green Lanterns. We continue with the rest of Geoff John's run through the War of Light, Blackest Night, Brightest Day all the way through New 52 and the DC Rebirth. We talk about some of the issues that happen with this run where it just starts to get to be too much. But there is also a lot of good that comes from it (the additional Corps along the color spectrum, a conclusion on Sinestro's run and the introduction of Simon Baz). Outside of Johns, we talk about how good the Green Lantern Corps book is and how it does a great job on telling stories outside of the Earth Lanterns.

There's a lot to read here. We list the major books we read but also include links to the entire reading order for storylines like Blackest Night.

Unanimous Decision #43: Dear Summer

The Unanimous Decision Podcast is back and better than ever. A week off only made the show stronger, and we've got Bleacher Report's Michael Felder on to prove it. We talk about the busy as hell last two weeks, including racist taunts directed at Adam Jones, the NFL Draft and what the hell some of these teams are doing, debating getting back into baseball, the NBA Playoffs and America's 5th major sport, the Real World/Road Rules Challenge. And he even leaves some cooking tips on the way out.

Topics:

Bleacher Report's awesome NFL Draft Coverage. What were the Bears thinking? Who is running things in Buffalo? LSU supports free speech...kind of. Time to hang em up Howard. Adam Jones went to work and got called a nigger. Playoff talk! THE CHALLENGE.
