Origins, narrated, researched and interviewed by award-winning and best-selling author of the oral history books on ESPN, Saturday Night Live and CAA, the Creative Artist Agency, James Andrew Miller, will explore beginnings -- whether from the worlds of television, movies, sports, music, business, or even human relationships -- to explain how greatness starts and how critical happenings come to be. Listeners will hear firsthand from those who were "there at the start," who hatched The Great Ideas, or who arrived in time to turn those great ideas into formidable realities.


Origins will strive to reveal the unexpected, the unpredicted, and those moments of luck and fate that no one sees, or saw, coming. These will include pivotal junctures, trapped doors and level jumps. This podcast series will chart the pedigree of success, celebrating entrepreneurship and examining the frustrations and nightmares that, suddenly or inevitably, occur along the way.


Origins will be based on individual topics, played out in chapters -- a historic album, a groundbreaking television show, a company that altered the way we consume media, or even a couple whose romantic relationship garnered widespread curiosity.


All of these compelling and entertaining subjects will in some way, have helped create the world we live in today.

Origins Chapter One: Curb Your Enthusiasm is the first installment of an all-new podcast series by James Andrew Miller, award-winning and best-selling author of the oral history books on ESPN, Saturday Night Live and CAA, the Creative Artist Agency, which will be exploring epochal beginnings—whether from the fields of film, television, music, publishing, or even human relationships. 


The five-part Curb Your Enthusiasm podcast chapter of Origins will launch with Episode One on September 6th and feature conversations with more than a dozen key figures in the much-lauded, Emmy-winning show – among them, Larry David, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, Ted Danson, Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein and others. Listeners will hear first-hand accounts of how the show was created, how it evolved, and how it changed the lives of everyone involved. The smash hit series begins its eagerly awaited ninth season on HBO October 1st.


“Origins” will explore how greatness starts, how new ideas take shape, and how critical innovations come to be. This is the first chapter of a four-chapter fall 2017 slate.
