Your podcasters are here. There is no film we won't watch, that we won't study, that we won't suffer. Then we will podcast about it in excruciating detail, all for you. So join in! Nominate a film via our Twitter or Facebook handles and we'll add it to our roster and give you a lovely mention while we do it. PICK A FLICK! You pick a film. We watch it. Simple.

How's this for a slice of fried gold? PICK A FLICK! tackles three (or should that be two?) modern classics this time around, with returning host Dave Bond (of Do You Expect Us to Talk?) joined by two show debutantes - Paul Hawkins (one half of the Blokebusters Podcast) and Andrew Dodderidge, in his first ever podcast experience - to talk the 'Cornetto Trilogy'. Nominated by Brooker to be fixed, he and Tony tackle the film in three stages: what they liked about it, where it went wrong, and finally how they could go about fixing it. On the eve of Captain America: Civil War being released, can they improve Joss Whedon's misfiring sequel? Join them and find out more! 030 - Lars' Dogma

PICK A FLICK! gives the middle finger to the Establishment and the whole of the Cannes Film Festival as we focus on the unique, hugely divisive and often difficult auteur this week that is Mr. Lars von Trier. Host Philip Sharman (1/3rd of the award-winning Wikishuffle podcast) is joined by friend Ruth Bradley and in her first time podcasting, Jane Douglas-Jones, undertaking the impressive 500 Days of Film project which she discusses at length. Nominated by Jane herself, they first examine von Trier's 2011 film MELANCHOLIA, take a deeper look at the director's work including his controversial Dogme manifesto, and finish up--nominated by The Comic Roast--with EUROPA, a film so hard to find Jane didn't even get to see it! They also take in audience feedback on Lars along the way. Join them and find out more! Oh and a wealth of comedies from both sides of the Pond which PICK A FLICK! examine in this episode, hosted by Emma Platt of Dead Meat - joined by The Bottle Episode curator Matt Latham & film journalist & host of Failed Critics: Underground Nights, Paul Field. Nominated by Andy Moseley, they take a serious look, Shirley, at AIRPLANE! The Zucker brothers seminal comedy that opened the decade. Then they examine THE BREAKFAST CLUB, as nominated by Maaya Brooker, perhaps John Hughes' most famous teen film, and ask - is it even a comedy? 027 - Who Watches the Dead?

'Tis the season for Zack Snyder, fa la la la la la, la laaa laaa laaa---ahem, yeah, given Snyder is all in vogue, we thought we might keep the focus on the big man as Chris Wallace (hosting for the first time) and Wikishuffle compadre Phil Sharman are joined by Pop Culture Parlour's Stacey Taylor. They look at WATCHMEN, Snyder's divisive adaptation of Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons's unfilmable graphic novel, square the focus on Alan Moore movies in general, before looking also at EVIL DEAD 2 - though that's not the one all of them have watched. Oh and this one has, without doubt, the most fun & protracted quiz Pick a Flick! has ever done. Thanks to all for the nominations and join us next time for more fun & japery. 024 - Pick a (Chick) Flick!

Put on your glad rags. Dust off the Manolo's. It's time to shop until you drop, or rather pod until you drop, as we enter the not-at-all stereotypical world of the 'chick flick'! Emma Platt hosts, joined by guests Chris Haigh (because she contractually can't host without a Chris), and knicked from Failed Critics, Steve Norman, to talk CLUELESS (1995) and SEX AND THE CITY 2 (2010). Thanks to Maaya Brooker & Tom Barwick for their nominations, and to all contributors who suggested other similar flicks on the social media. Next week... the red capes are coming... the red capes are coming... 023 - Bigger, Longer, Probably Cut

Calling all you sh*t faced co*kmasters out there! It's our unofficial 90's comedy special in which Tony Black returns, joined by The Bottle Episode's incorrigible Matt Latham, to talk comedy movies very close to their 90's kid hearts. Firstly, nominated by James Morton, SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER & UNCUT, which Tony & Latham must constantly resist the urge to break out into a quote-off about, or indeed sing its brace of tunes. Amidst this, they take suggestions from the floor about the best of 90's comedy - will they ever agree on WAYNE'S WORLD? And can Latham be convinced to give CLERKS another try? Lastly, as nominated by Latham himself, they get into one of his four favourite films, CAN'T HARDLY WAIT. Tony couldn't hardly wait to talk about this with him, and he can't hardly wait to hear what you think. I bet you can't hardly wait either, can you Latham? Ahem. Anyway. Hope you enjoy dudes. It's party time! Excellleeeent!! 022 - Zero Dark Donnie

War? What is it good for? Absolutely nothing? Find out as we borrow Failed Critics host Steve Norman to chair this latest Pick a Flick!, alongside Cinematic Dramatic's Leslie Byron Pitt, to tackle modern warfare alongside a soupcon of fate, destiny and weird talking rabbits. Thanks to Teresa Votypkova for nominating ZERO DARK THIRTY (2012) and Jakob Barnes for DONNIE DARKO (2001). Thanks to contributors on Twitter for their suggestions on modern warfare movies. 021 - I Hate Woody Allen

If you've ever listened to Black Hole Cinema, you'll know of the hate reserved for Woody Allen by host Emma Platt, and her guests Chris Haigh & from our friends Cinematronix, Chris Byrne. Now, Pick a Flick! brings you the full force of their anti-Woody sentiment. Thanks to the nomination of BLUE JASMINE, by The Comic Roast, Emma and her favourite Chris' begin their rampage over Woody as they decide whether his recent Oscar-baiter is brilliant or pretentious - three guesses what they decide. After a sojourn into exploring Woody's career, where Emma gets to segue into her favourite Frank Sinatra story (spoiler: it involves pain to Woody), thanks to Pick a Flick! creator Tony Black, they have to look at MANHATTAN. Why? Because Emma despises it. Well, I have to get my fun somehow, right? Finally, QUESTION TIME is inevitably Woody-centric as the Chris' face off against each other. Who will be triumphant? And which one of these three will end up arrested for libel first? Tune in and find out! (DISCLAIMER: this is easily our most profane & angry episode yet (and I've toned them down!), so just beware if you are a sensitive disposition. Also probably don't listen if you like Woody Allen. No, I mean it.)

020 - Being Charlie Kaufman

It's a podcast within a podcast within a podcast this week as Wikishuffle's own Phil Sharman takes the Pick a Flick! hosting chair, joined by two debutantes to the show - firstly his old friend Ruth Bradley and, of Filmback TV, the show's first transatlantic guest Claire Tanner. Their first picked flick, from Matthew Brady, is SYNEDOCHE, NEW YORK, from the unique mind that is Charlie Kaufman, and all three have some fascinating opinions on a fascinating picture. Beyond this, they discuss the other works of Kaufman, as a writer and director, and precisely how many times in a year you should watch ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND. Finally, as picked by Steve Aldersley, the trio look at Christopher Nolan's first breakout success, 2000's MEMENTO - but is it a trippy, revolutionary cinematic experience or lacking something? The lines are drawn. Lastly, it's QUESTION TIME for Claire as she chooses 1998 rom-com You've Got Mail for her quiz - but it turns out one of the other podcasters this week is also an uber fan. Who will emerge victorious? Join us down the Kaufman-sized rabbit hole and find out!
