Episodes

266: 'The Belko Experiment' and Interviews w/ Sean Gunn and Michael Rooker

Before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is out this May, James Gunn brings us an appetizer in the form of an original horror film to tide us over. This episode we talk about 'The Belko Experiment,' and bring you not one, but two interviews with stars from the film - Sean Gunn and Michael Rooker.
All this, plus Tom can't remember if the director of the film also sang American Pie, Joe comes up with a plethora of euphemisms for wrenches, and Kevin tries to convince Joe that the bad Gremlin was named Stripe - and not Spike. Dan is still out, but it's probably for the best - and you'll find out why by the time you get to our shame(ful?) plugs.
It's Reel Spoilers 266. You've been warned.

265: 'The Belko Experiment' Box Office Report (3/17 - 3/19)

This week it's a tough call between 'The Belko Experiment' and 'Beauty and the Beast' - so why choose? But first things first, here is the World Famous Box Office Report.* And what kind of a show would this be without tangents? Only we can jump from the box office report to 1993's Jurassic Park, where we get into a discussion on CGI v Practical Effects: Dawn of ILM. Plus Joe gives us a fan theory for Hannibal and CSI, and Tom gives Kevin tips on how to watch Law & Order. It's Reel Spoilers 265. You've been warned.

264: 'KONG: Skull Island' Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly

Kong is King, or so they tell us. Listen as we discuss who the real star of Skull Island is (hint: it's not the Skulking Skull King, no matter what Tom tells you). But one thing is for sure: if you like giant gorillas punching dinosaurs in the face, we have the movie for you!
Michael is back, and we simply mute him every time he talks about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (it was a four hour podcast before the edit). Tom tries to convince us that Kong is transitioning; Kevin explains why he doesn't watch trailers. Joe sets up the story for his new pitch to Marvel: 'Sassy Photographer'; and Dan has a video recovery.
It's Reel Spoilers 264. You've been warned.

263: 'Kong: Skull Island' Box Office Report (3/10 - 3/12)

This week we are joined once again by Michael Haffner, who you may remember from such podcasts as "Reel Spoilers 177" and "Reel Spoilers 178." And who could forget his incredible guest appearance on "Reel Spoilers 190?" Haffner is back, baby. This could be his last invitation, however, as Michael sends us off into a 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' tangent before we can even finish introducing ourselves. Plus, Tom gets his annual sports reference out of the way early, Kevin tries to catch Joe pronouncing words incorrectly, and Dan tells us why "Avatar Land" might be pretty cool at Disney World. It's Reel Spoilers 263. You've been warned.

262: 'LOGAN' Starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen

It's finally time to say goodbye to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Goodbye. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, here is another hour and a half of our superhero eulogy. Plus, do you like Bob Newhart tangents? Well you're in luck, you don't even have to wait for us to introduce ourselves. All this plus: Kevin threatens listeners to write a review on iTunes, or the movie next week will be 'Rock Dog' Instead of 'Kong: Skull Island; Tom gives a PSA for what to do if your claws stay "SNIKT" for more than 4 hours; Joe tells us dirty stories about The Hulk; Dan has a video recovery. It's Reel Spoilers 262. You've been warned.

260: Jordan Peele's 'Get Out' Starring Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Catherine Keener

It's the horror movie everyone is talking about. Jordan Peele's directorial debut Get Out obtained the coveted 100% on Rotten Tomatoes before attention-seeking ass-hat "critic" Armond White had to ruin things. Find out what all the buzz is about! It's Reel Spoilers 260: #GetOut w/ Tom O'Keefe, Dan Graney, Joey Butts and guest host Orlandez Lewis. You've been warned.

259: 'Get Out' Box Office Report (2/24 - 2/26)

258: 'The Great Wall' Starring Matt Damon, Jing Tian, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe

This week we recorded early, so no box office report. But if you were wondering whether or not 'The Great Wall' would come in at number 1 - rest assured, the answer is no. Unless you are in China, and it has already made $170 million (no joke). In this episode Joe tries to excuse terrible CGI, Tom struggles with how calculated this film feels, and Kevin attempts to talk about anything other than this movie - including 1990's white-washed 'Aladdin' musical (starring Barry Bostwick and directed by Micky Dolenz). It's Reel Spoilers 258. You've been warned.

257: 'Fifty Shades Darker' *NSFW* Starring Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan

Our Valentine's Day tradition continues, as we bring our significant others into the studio - this time to talk Fifty Shades Darker. Joining us once again is licensed counselor and sex therapist Lindsay Walden. And just like last time, we aren't even trying to censor this one. It’s Reel Spoilers 257: 'Fifty Shades Darker.' You’ve been warned.

256: 'John Wick: Chapter 2' Starring Keanu Reeves, Common, Ruby Rose, Laurence Fishburne

In case you haven't heard, John Wick is back. And much to Tom's chagrin, his dog just isn't as cuddly as it was last time. But that won't stop him from doing a whole lot of killing. Reoccurring guest host Steve Kelley joins us to wax poetic about Baba Yaga, while Joe walks us through the underground world of high-paid assassins. And Kevin desperately tries to squeeze in a mini box office report.

255: 'The Space Between Us' Starring Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino, Britt Robertson

There may be obstacles between the two leads of this movie, but there's no space between you and a podcast ready to rip this "Nicholas Sparks in Space" wannabe to shreds (spoilers)! As a bonus, if you thought you would have to wait an entire episode to hear Tom make fun of the way Kevin pronounces Josh Bro-Lin, think again! Plus, Joe has to have his potty-mouth washed out with soap -multiple times. And Dan has a video recovery. It's Reel Spoilers 255. You've been warned!

254: 'The Space Between Us' Box Office Report (2/3 - 2/5)

This week we find ourselves once again patiently waiting for the movie de jour to show up in the top ten. In the meantime, Joe regaled us with tales of Blockbuster late-fees, and Dan let's us know how he really feels about VHS rewinders. Kevin wants Vin Diesel to retire, and Tom issues a myriad of retractions. It's Reel Spoilers 254. You've been warned.
