There has been a lot of talk in The Bridechilla Community of late about wedding planning with depression, stress, and anxiety. The conversation has been candid and I am so happy that we have a place where Bridechillas feel comfortable sharing their personal experiences.
Pre-existing depression, anxiety, and stress don't just stop because you are engaged. We are so often told that we should just cheer up or that ‘you’’ be fine on the day’ when it comes to anxiety. and a surprising amount of Bridechillas feel experience anxiety and stress due to wedding planning. Expectations, family relationships, and work pressure, on top of the pressure we put on ourselves, can all add up.
