Dr. Drew brings the medicine while Adam's comedy and rants are the spoonful of sugar to make it go down.


#499: Ami Horowitz  

Journalist and YouTube star Ami Horowitz joins Adam and Dr. Drew today to discuss the current state of our society and how political and racial divides are often misunderstood or overblown. They discuss Ami's very successful videos focusing on topics from racism in voter ID laws, Ami's experiences at the respective parties national conventions leading up to the Presidential election and his travels through the West Bank. They also speak about some of President Obama's most famous remarks and break down their underlying messages.

#498: And It Will Be What It Will Be  

Adam and Drew open the show today by going straight to the phones starting with a caller who is wondering about use of over the counter melatonin and what risks may come along with that. They also speak to a caller who has recently stopped using marijuana and is trying to figure out how to mitigate the withdrawal associated with his stopping. Later they talk a caller though his concerns that his young girlfriend may cheat on him and a few others including one with a question about addiction

#497: You Don't See How This Is Gonna Go?  

Drew opens the show discussing a movie he recently saw (the upcoming Michael Keaton film 'The Founder') and how the harkening back to the 1950s and 60s brought the affectations of today's young people into the forefront of his mind. They then turn to President Obama's recent last address to the nation and discuss some of the things he said in that speech. As they go to the phones they speak to a caller whose wife is pregnant and is concerned with exposure to Zika on an upcoming trip to The Dominican Republic.

#496: Sick  

Adam opens the show telling Drew about the recent sickness that impacted his family members and what his experience was with the same bug. Adam then tells Drew about a recent interaction he had with his daughter Natalia about the date of a snow trip they are going to make. The guys turn to the phones and speak to a caller with a sexual confession to make, another who has a question about PragerU.

#495: Just Stand There And Suck It Up  

Adam and Dr. Drew open the show discussing the fact that they are both somewhat averse to the parts of Hollywood that most stars love. The conversation then turns to the fact that one of Drew's sons has been working over at the other building on the KROQ documentary and how it has negatively impacted Adam's hyper vigilance. Adam also discusses his new ritual of forcing himself to get into his very cold pool to try to make himself uncomfortable as a way to force discipline in other parts of his life. They also speak to a few callers including one who is renting from a family member and concerned about their obligations as well as one who has a question about how alcoholism effects the Jewish community.

#494: Not Helping Long Term, Big Picture  

Adam and Drew open the show discussing how a lot of governments tend to give large payouts for lawsuits involving citizens while insisting they are cash strapped when it comes to basic services like pothole repairs or putting seat belts in school busses. The conversation then turns, in a strange way via a Chris Rock joke that Drew saw, to the topic of Trump and his use of hyperbole. The guys then turn to the phones and speak to several callers including one dealing with a relative whose alcoholism is getting out of control and another who is having very strange experiences that culminate in vomiting.

#493: All Calls All The Time  

Adam and Drew open the show rolling right into the calls and speaking to callers on a variety of topics including a male virgin in his late twenties who is looking for advice on how to approach the ladies. Another caller has an idea about a new rule that he could see the NFL instituting given all the recent concerns about head injury and CTE. They also speak to a caller who is planning to seclude himself to force himself to detox from opiates and another who is worried about her mother's back issues.

#492: Dr. Cate Shanahan  

Adam & Drew open the show welcoming author and board certified physician Dr. Cate Shanahan. The conversation starts almost immediately with a discussion of how different trends over the years have impacted how the general public is largely misinformed about what nutritional values to follow. This leads into a very interesting conversation on what Dr. Cate thinks a perfect breakfast, lunch and dinner looks like.

#491: New Drug  

Adam and Dr. Drew open the show discussing the recent disturbing video featuring four young black people kidnapping and 'torturing' a mentally deficient white man in Chicago. Aside from talking about how people who engage in these acts should be dealt with, they also examine how the media coverage of this incident is different from some of the similarly viral videos from the past two years. They also turn to the phones and speak to callers including one with questions about his painkillers keeping him awake at night and another who has found a drug she was amazed no one had brought to her attention before.

#490: Land of the Redundant  

Adam opens the show discussing with Drew how although there is flu going around Los Angeles, especially within the schools, and how it lead him to realize that he has possibly never been sick since his kids have been alive. They then discuss some of the frustrations Adam has been having interacting with people producing his new television show before going to the phones and speaking to a variety of callers.

Adam and Dr. Drew take some calls about sensory deprivation tanks, connecting with a therapist, and fitting in during college.
