Achtung! Millwall 86: Barnsley 3-1 Millwall Wembley Special

In the end it was all one big f**king squib. Soundly beaten by a better Barnsley side who are promoted to the Championship, whilst the Lions can only look forward to another League One campaign in 2016-17. This week's edition contains the full Monty from our so-called National Stadium, as well as post match cud chewing with Harry Warren. Huge thank you to Neil Harris and the entire Millwall squad for one of the best season's football in recent memory. Here's looking forward to the new season already. Thanks also to everyone linked with the show, we hoped you enjoyed it. Cheers Nick -

Achtung! Millwall 85: Millwall 1-1 Bradford City 20.05.15 - belated bonus edition

Well better late than never ... Due to circumstances beyond my control, this week's bonus edition of Achtung! Millwall is shorter than usual, but features in-game comment on last week's magnificent home performance to see off the Bantams. Once more Wembley beckons. Whatever becomes of our beloved Lions, this has been a truly wonderful season to be a Millwall supporter. Thank you to Neil Harris and the squad for what they have collectively done for our club. Nick - This show is dedicated to Bert Hart 1933 - 2016: the strongest man I ever knew.

Achtung! Millwall 84: Bradford City 1-3 Millwall 15.05.16 PLAY OFF SPECIAL

One of the greatest Millwall away performances? It's certainly way, way up there in our opinion. An absolutely magnificent 3-1 win at Valley Parade in the first leg of the 2016 League One play off semi-finals sets the Lions up in pole position for the return leg at The Den on Friday May 20th. This week's edition includes full in-game comment, as well as a fascinating post-match conversation with former Millwall great Tony Warner. Enjoy. Nick -

Achtung! Millwall 83: Gillingham 1-2 Millwall 08.05.16

Sound, fury, drama - all the ingredients of your average Millwall match really. All on offer at Sunday's volcanic game in deepest Medway Kent. Lee Gregory's last gasp penalty sealing the three points that ensure home advantage in the second leg of the impending play-off semi-final against Bradford. Huge thanks to Micky AMS, Mark and Shaun Litchfield for their help with what is an unplanned and therefore impromptu show. Hope the cracks don't let too much rain in ...

Achtung! Millwall 82: Millwall 3-0 Oldham Athletic 30.04.16

Summer breeze, makes me feel fine etc etc etc Certainly the Latics appeared to be mentally somewhere between Benidorm and Bridlington Butlins yesterday at Zampa Road. A routine end-of-season win for the Lions, featuring some strong forward play and some contradictory slack defending. Thankfully the Oldham forwards were the type who struggle to hit a barn door with a shotgun from close range and it all ended happily ever after. Play-off football assured, some rough and tumble as fans invaded the pitch and a near hat-trick for Byron Webster. Just another day in South Bermondsey ... Achtung! Millwall -

Achtung! Millwall 81: Bury 1-3 Millwall 23.04.16

Oh my giddy aunt we have a packed show for you this week dear listener. Not only do we have coverage of the wins over Fleetwood at home and away at Bury yesterday, we also include interviews with Millwall great Tony Warner as well as young supporter Will McLoughlin-Ewart, creator of the fantastic ‘Echoes of The Den’ online piece. Check Will’s Echoes of The Den video here - Interested in the Southwark News regeneration story? AMS response here Achtung! Millwall -

Achtung! Millwall 80: Coventry City 2-1 Millwall 16.04.16

The Lions, down to ten men for almost an hour thanks to Shaun Williams' sudden loss of reason after 28 minutes, gave everything to try to take something away from the Ricoh Stadium. Unfortunately the Sky Blues' passing and ability to stretch play eventually proving too much for Millwall in a 1-2 loss. Williams's red card probably means that will be that for his season, whether that's a good or bad thing will depend on your personal taste dear listener ... Today's show includes comment from the Ricoh, as well as the welcome return of post match analysis with Mark Litchfield - check out Mark's stuff via Twitter @IAmTheLitch or

Achtung! Millwall 79: Millwall 3-1 Shrewsbury Town 09.04.16

From zeroes to heroes, after an arid first 45 minutes, the Lions' second half performance - driven forward by the boy-genius Ben Thompson - sent 9,000 home fans out of The Den very happy indeed. With play-off football looking the likeliest outcome, after a season where that looked unlikely indeed, who can complain? Today's show features post match comment from show regular Charlie Mahoney, as well as some very useful advice from football specialist lawyer Alison Gurden. If you need any help or advice following an incident at a game find her contact details at - also see her Twitter feed @gurdena or via the Football Law Association @Football_Legal A very useful website - unrelated to Alison - is also the Football Supporters Federation or @The_FSF Know your rights...

Achtung! Millwall 78: Colchester United 0-0 Millwall 02.04.16

Two points dropped at a critical stage of the season? Or a valuable point in our drive to consolidate our play-off position? This week's match comment comes from show regular Harry Warren, standing in for yours truly - and how excellently done it is too. In the second part of the show, I am joined by the miracle of Skype with the always entertaining and thoughtful Craig Griffiths. MASSIVE thanks to both for their contribution on this week's show. Two great voices on the number one Millwall podcast - you lucky, lucky play-off bound people ... Nick

Achtung! Millwall 77: Millwall 2-0 Burton Albion 28.03.16

Well an evening game on Easter Monday night might not be the most traditional football timing, but needs must when the Sky money men call. This week's edition of Achtung! Millwall includes full comment on Millwall's fantastic 2-0 win over the Brewers, as well a very interesting interview with club legend Alan Dunne who has recently published his autobiography 'Dunne it the Hard Way' (available on Amazon). Required reading for all Lions fans...

Achtung! Millwall 76: Millwall 1-0 Sheffield United 19.03.16

A fantastic home win for the Lions, a result which almost certainly ends Sheffield United's season - but which strengthens the Lions' play-off bid. Dare we dream of that second automatic promotion slot? It remains a big ask, but not out of the question with fighting performances like this. In game comment with Micky of the AMS, post match cud chewing with Harry Warren. Up the Lions.

Achtung! Millwall 75: Swindon Town 2-2 Millwall 12.03.16

One of the first things that you have to learn as a Millwall supporter, is that you'd better get used to late equalisers. And yesterday's 94th minute version after the Lions led by two at the half-time break hurt more than one of Ian Holloway's Sky TV slots. A point at the division's form side can't be a bad thing, but surrendering a two goal lead makes it feel more like a loss. Big thanks to our match reporter Omer Ronayne and post match comment from James Blewett. Nick

Achtung! Millwall 74: Millwall 3-0 Blackpool 05.03.16

A decisive win for the Lions over a poor Blackpool side. But hey, who's complaining? Cold, damp, grey - your fanzine podcaster endures all of these things to bring you coverage of yesterday's show in South Bermondsey (aka 'New' Bermondsey). Enjoy...

Achtung! Millwall 73 - AMS special

An unusual round table conversation for your delectation, featuring Peter Heard, Paul Turner and Micky of the AMS group. An online movement who have done so much to press the Millwall case recently in the ears of the media, the local politicos and the Millwall FC boardroom itself. Who are the AMS? What are they all about? What are their aims? Tune in and find out here... Parental advisory: this show contains honest and hard edged opinion. If you are interested in joining the AMS please visit or find them on Twitter @A_M_S_Group

Achtung! Millwall 72: Millwall 3-0 Peterborough United 20.02.16

What a strange week to be a Millwall fan. But then, aren't they all? Whether it's a fine win up at Rochdale last weekend, a shambolic home loss to Scunthorpe on Tuesday and now an excellent home victory over a poor looking Posh, life as a Lion is never dull. Oh and did we mention the threat to our future existence in Bermondsey, provided by the Renewal company in cahoots with Lewisham Council? If you haven't already done it (where have you been?) please, please sign the @DefendOurDen petition on Twitter and Facebook. Also maybe give your support to the @A_M_S_Group ? They have done some absolutely sterling work defending our club this week and they deserve everyone's support. Join the AMS here Thanks for tuning in - enjoy a fine win for Millwall. Nick

Achtung! Millwall 71: Millwall 1-1 Crewe Alexandra 30.01.16

Two penalties, 15 shots, eight on target and just one goal speaks volumes for yesterday's oddly flat performance at The Den. The Lions remain in the top six of League One, how is beyond many to answer - including this week's special guest Harry Warren. Can Millwall make the Johnstone's Paint final? Can they remain in the play-off mix come May? Can they start converting the myriad scoring opportunities that they are creating? Like the song says, there are more questions than answers ...

Achtung! Millwall 70: Chesterfield 1-2 Millwall 23.01.16

Another fantastic result away from home - and dare we start to dream as the Lions move into the top six? An Aiden O'Brien equaliser against the run of first half play, leading on to a transformation in the second period as Lee Gregory sealed three invaluable points for Millwall. This week's Achtung! Millwall comes to you entirely from the Proact Stadium, Chesterfield. Enjoy ...

Achtung! Millwall 69: Millwall 3-1 Port Vale 17.01.16

Three very welcome points at home on a cold day in Bermondsey. Millwall seize the early initiative and create enough of a cushion to hold off the Burslem Port Vale. After last Thursday's poor show at home to Oxford in the JPT, this is a very refreshing return to form for the Lions.

Achtung! Millwall 68: Oldham Athletic 1-2 Millwall 09.01.16

Another weekend, another long trek up north. This time to Lancashire and the romantically named Park - traditionally known as Boundary Park, Oldham. This week however we are able to supply our weekly all-over Millwall massage with a happy ending. Steve Morison's headed winner in the 85th minute giving full tension relief satisfaction for the travelling Lions support. As ever Achtung! Millwall battles through the rain, the stewarding hassle and the 400 mile round trip to bring you the usual gentleman's relish. Enjoy.

Achtung! Millwall 67: Barnsley 2-1 Millwall 02.01.16

New year, but the same old inconsistencies from the Lions. Just a few days on from a fantastic result at Southend, we produce a dull as dishwater first half at Oakwell which effectively gave the game to bright looking Barnsley side. Yes, this edition of Achtung! Millwall covers a dreary day in South Yorkshire ...
