S4 Ep 54: Previews, Transfers & Super Rugby

We continue the summer period with two previews for the upcoming season: Dragons and London Irish. We have our usual wrap up of summer signings, rumours and speculation and we debate the new World Rugby Law changes.

S4 Ep 53: Post Season / Pre Season

After the frenetic Lions tour we take a slightly more laid back approach this week as we look ahead to the upcoming Aviva and Pro12 (Pro14?) seasons. We have one eye on the new stash announced and the other on a couple of brilliant listeners' reviews for Ulster and Leicester's respective chances.

Lions Tour Ep18: Test Three

What a wonderful game and a superb series. JB & Phil travel from all corners of the UK to be in the dungeon and Tim dials in from the Eggchasers Shipping Container which was based near enough to Eden Park to have an influence on Romain Poite. We dissect all of the action from this weekend's series decider including that card, the magnificent Kieran Read and whether the All Blacks are as good as people say. Phil has also prepared a little quiz to see if you've been paying attention...

Lions Tour Ep17: Test Three Preview

The preview for the final test. Teams have been announced and the settled Lions face the "opposite of settled" All Blacks. JB and Phil are in studio and Cocker dials in from the Eggchasers Shipping Container TM (which occasionally suffered from some broadband issues...). JB tells us why the Lions are going to win, while the others two feel that an All Black victory is on the cards.

Lions Tour Ep16: Test Two Full Podcast

The three boys digest the full reaction to Saturday's test match where the Lions were victorious against Kieran Read's All Blacks. We talk through the performance and the key decisions that Gatland has made in the build-up to the test. We also look at the potential Pro12 change to bring in the Cheetahs and Kings and give our take on the rest of this week's rugby news.

LIONS TOUR - PEAK TE'O SPECIAL

A brief history of "Peak Te'o" In the wake of the abysmal 2015 World Cup for England, and after Eddie Jones had taken the reigns, the Eggchasers tried to look to the future and plot England's rise to success. Tim had seen Big Ben Te'o playing for Leinster and thought he had potential to do a job for England. JB laughed...a lot. Then Eddie Jones announced Ben Te'o in his wider England training squad. JB doubled-down and announced this as a flash in the pan and declared the now immortal line...."this is PEAK TE'O!". Every time Big Ben reached a new height we'd fire up the horns. The England wider squad became the England squad proper...became the England matchday squad...became a first cap...a first try...a Lions squad member...a Lions player...and NOW...a Lions Test Starter. Peak Te'o turned out to be up there with the highest height any British and Irish rugby union player can reach reach. The only place left for BBT to go is winning a Test series and the 2019 World Cup. That remains to be seen, but...

LIONS TOUR Ep11: 22 June 2017. Time for a Test

Now the teams are announced the excitement is reaching peak levels and the boys are here to dissect the Lions' and All Blacks' test selections. We run through the strengths and weaknesses of both teams, predict the results and also plan a new gizmo to unleash on the market for Christmas.

LIONS TOUR Ep10: 20th June 2017 - Home Nations ALL Win Away & More from NZ

Scotland's fantastic win down under. England's young guns show up again with those Argentinian playboys. Wales won...on a Friday...conveniently for their players to make it to the Lions camp as reinforcements. Ireland's youngsters win in Ireland. There's some speculation (MORE speculation) over the Lions Test squad, a Tour Story and some more transfer news. LIONS TOUR Ep9: 18 June 2017. Lions Leap Forward

We digest the brutal physical confrontation from the Lions' game against the Maori All Blacks. We discuss potential changes to the team for the first test, and JB coins a new catch phase "North Pole" (albeit a slightly outdated one). We also candidly discuss the introduction of some new Lions into the den... Reaction to all of the other games from this weekend will follow on Monday morning's usual podcast.

LIONS TOUR Ep8: 16 June 2017. Maori All Blacks Preview

Another quick catch-up on the squad announcements this week. We take a detailed look at the Lions, Maori All Blacks and All Blacks squads and briefly mention England, Scotland and Wales. We also try to determine whether 11 pints the night before a game would affect performance. And discuss how you would test such a hypothesis...

LIONS TOUR Ep7: 14th June 2017. Lions Lose AGAIN.

The boys talk us through the Highlanders game with some undoubted positives for both teams, and some real negatives from the Lions. We specifically try to work out why none of the Lions players could catch the ball despite being on a plastic pitch indoors!

LIONS TOUR Ep6: 12th June 2017. Lions & International Rugby Bonanza

More reaction to a Lions win over the Crusaders. A Denny inspired England win in Argentina. A Finn Russell inspired Scotland win The rest of the rugby AND some "strong and stable" suggestions for our Rugby Manifesto and a blinding Raging Bull Tour Story.

LIONS TOUR Ep5: Crusaders v Lions Post Match Reaction

JB and Phil slice and dice the Lions' latest performance, a 12-3 win against New Zealand's best Super Rugby team.

Lions Tour Ep3: 96 June 2017: Lions v Blues

The boys are back for a late night special (recorded post watershed) where they talk Dutch Women's Rugby and synthetic bells. They also cover the latest goings on in New Zealand, the other internationals, transfer news / rumours and see if another game can beat the legendary "Springbok or Nazi War Criminal".
