The Guilty Feminist

The Guilty Feminist

United Kingdom

Join comedians Sofie Hagen, Deborah Frances-White and a special guest as they discuss topics “all 21 first century feminists agree know” while confessing their insecurities, hypocrisies and fears that underlie their lofty principles. Sofie Hagen is a London-based, Danish stand up comedian who won the 2015 Fosters’ Best Newcomer at The Edinburgh Festival and the 2014 Chortle Best Newcomer. She is also known for her podcast Comedians Telling Stuff and her hit show Bubblewrap opens 10 December at The Soho Theatre. Deborah Frances-White’s comedy BBC Radio 4 series Rolls The Dice aired earlier this year. She has toured several solo shows, speaks about Diversity and Inclusion in the corporate world and regularly performs her entertaining seminar How to Be a Charismatic Woman in a Man’s World for women in business.

Henry V Speech

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our Female dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a girl
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood...
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry “God for WOMEN, FEMINISM, and SAINT ANGELOU!”
