Why you need to live like you're dead.

How do you define success? Is it a big pay check and a house with a picket fence? Or is it about loving what you do? If you've found something you're good at AND enjoy, congratulations, you've hit the jackpot. We spend a third of our lives working, but that doesn't mean we can forget about those virtues that aren't found on a resume.  This is a case for living your eulogy values, the things people will say about you at your funeral.

Also, according to Elizabeth Gilbert, there are four words we need to know: hobby, job, career and vocation. But the only one you really need is a job, and it doesn't have to be soul-fulfilling.

The Well is the show that explores the head, the heart and the happiness of life.

Food: Friend or Foe?

What's your relationship to food? Would you rather eat cake or be healthy? At the end of an out of control day, do you hide in the pantry snacking? Or is saying no to that giant slice of chocolate cake more of a reward? Food is our life source and we all have to eat, but our relationships with food are far from simple. Bec Sparrow is an emotional eater, prone to grazing on her kids leftovers. Robin Bailey likes to be in control of what she puts in her mouth, and she's never ordered a three course meal.

How to get your kids to be #grateful.

Bec Sparrow wants to raise her children to be kind and empathetic and realise the value in giving and not just receiving. But in a world where you can have whatever you want, whenever you want - how can you raise your children to be grateful? Is it about giving them more of your time, and less of everything else? Kids aren't born grateful, so how do we teach them? It's a conversation that will have every parent nodding along...

The Grief Episode.

It’s the topic that no-one really wants to talk about, but almost all of us will experience at some time or another. We still don’t know how to deal with it properly, or what to do when it comes our way.

And for hosts Rebecca Sparrow and Robin Bailey it is the elephant in the room - Grief.

Robin and Bec both have the unfortunate distinction of having spent plenty of time with grief. And for this episode, they decided to pool their experiences with loss to help others. You will cry, you will laugh and you will most definitely learn something.

Exercise: Do You Want To Be Fit? Or Do You Want To Be Thin?

Do you bound out of bed for a run? Or does your self-loathing prevent you? Many of us have a love/hate relationship with exercise, but the health benefits can't be ignored. So what makes good exercise? We look at how the "fitspiration" movement can do more harm than good, why our notions of exercise revolve around body image, and how to ignore all that and make exercise habits that work for you...no matter your size, shape, fitness level or what you look like in activewear.

Is It Ever OK Not to Forgive?
Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong, said Gandhi. But what if you're not Gandhi? What if you're just a regular person, badly betrayed by a friend? Robin Bailey is that woman, burned by someone close to her, and she can't let it go. So is it ever ok not to forgive? Does forgiving someone make you a doormat, or excuse the terrible behaviour of the transgressor? And why is there cultural pressure to forgive when sometimes you just don't want to?   Plus, have you been living like the Danes? We check in on your Hygge homework.

More sleep: Why you need it and how to get it.

How much sleep do you get?

The Well's Robin Bailey gets four hours a night. It's not enough, and her co-host Bec Sparrow has decided that it's time for an intervention.

Because how much sleep you have, just like what you eat and how much exercise you do, impacts you in ways you might never have imagined. But with everyone living insanely busy lives and connected to our phones until we close our eyes, how do we get more?

This is an episode worth staying awake for.

Friendships: The Good, The Bad and The Toxic

Friends are the sunshine of life. But like sunshine, they can either radiate their goodness on you, or burn the crap out of you if you're not careful.

With everyone craving quality connections, how do you find new friends? Can you pick them up in a playground or bar? And how should you approach this delicate dance?

Do we need to look at the way kids make friends, and follow their lead?

We roadtest the theory that friendships only last 7 years before you rotate into new ones.

And how do you let go of a friend who makes you feel crap?

The Well has practical tips to be a better real-world friend in an age where everyone is glued to their devices.
