CBC Radio presents the stories and misadventures of Dave, the owner of the "Vinyl Cafe", the world's smallest record store, where the motto is "We may not be big, but we're small." The show also features Dave's wife, Morley, their two children, Sam and Stephanie and assorted friends and neighbours.

"Love" – December 30th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about love. In the first half of the show, we go back to the early days of Dave and Morley's relationship. In the second half, it's a story about Dave and his son Sam.

"Turkeys" – December 23rd, 2016  

This week we have two stories about turkeys. In the first half of the show, Dave decides he should not only cook the turkey, he should raise it. In the second half, “Dave Cooks the Turkey” - the very first Vinyl Cafe Christmas story.

"Christmas in the Narrows" – December 16th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about Christmas in Dave’s hometown. In the first half of the show, it’s the Big Narrows Christmas parade. In the second half, the family drives to Cape Breton for Christmas.

"Dave and Morley’s Gifts" – December 9th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about Dave buying gifts for Morley. In the first half of the show, we hear about their first Christmas together. In the second half, Morley asks for a White Christmas, and Dave promises her just that.

"Christmas in the Neighbourhood"– December 2nd, 2016  

This week we have two stories about Christmas in Dave’s neighbourhood. In the first half of the show, it’s Christmas with Rasheeda and Ahmeer. In the second half, it’s Polly Anderson’s Christmas Party.

"Getting Caught in a Lie" – November 25th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about getting caught in a lie. In the first half of the show, Dave and Morley get caught playing hooky. In the second half, Dave lies to his neighbourhood nemesis Mary Turlington.

"Renovations" – November 18th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about renovations. In the first half of the show, it’s Dave and Morley renovating. In the second half, it’s the neighbours who renovate.

"Remembrance" – November 11th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about remembrance. In the first half of the show, Dave remembers miners from Springhill, Nova Scotia. In the second half, he discovers a postcard that leads him back to the First World War.

"Getting Older" – November 4th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about getting older. In the first half of the show, a story about Eugene and Maria Conte. In the second half, we meet an aging friend of Dave’s mother.

"Love" – October 28th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about love. In the first half of the show, it’s Sam who is smitten. In the second half, a story about how difficult it is when the love of your life passes away.

"Dave’s Hypochondria" – October 21st, 2016  

This week we have two stories about Dave’s hypochondria. In the first half of the show, Dave swallows a fly. In the second half, he goes to visit a friend in the hospital.

"Secret Desires" – October 14th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about secret desire. In the first half of the show, it’s Sam who is pining and hiding magazines under his mattress. In the second half, it’s Sam’s neighbour Eugene who is sneaking around.

"Truth and Belief" – October 7th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about truth and belief. In the first half of the show, a story about a lottery ticket. In the second half, a story about something miraculous in the night sky.

"Competition" - September 30th, 2016  

This week we have two stories about competition. In the first half of the show, it's Dave and a competing record store. In the second half, Mary Turlington makes gardening a competitive sport.

"Trips" - September 23rd, 2016  

This week we have two stories about trips. In the first story, Dave and Sam take a road trip. In the second, Dave and his buddies go fishing.

"The Waterslide" - September 16th, 2016  

Sam and his pal Murphy turn Dave's backyard into the neighbourhood waterpark - complete with a two-storey waterslide.

"The First Day of School" - September 9th, 2016  

Morley makes a gruesome discovery while preparing for the first day of school.
