175: Event Finals Day 2 Recap from 2015 Worlds

Manrique (CUB) is going to Rio!

Jessica is reporting in person from the 2015 Women's Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow, Scotland with the European Gymnastic Crew: Michelle Web, Cordelia Price, and Becca Emrick:

What did Bruno say about black athletes in gymnastics? Steve Butcher addressed the delays in the press conference. Is there a pro European bias? More discussion of debunking myths--we discuss the state of gymnastics TODAY! We talk men's vault: we dissect each competitor. Are there rules about selfie-sticks on the floor? What the hell was with the walk-in music? We talk women's beam: of course we break down all the deets. Komova has officially become a fighter--and her leo was on point. Cordelia does her best Scott Bregman impersonation. Carol Angela is The Alchemist. Simone is a diamond--the more pressure the more sparkle she produces. Is the Azerbaijan buy-your-gymnast system working? We talk men's parallel bars: the cleanest final of the day. We talk women's floor: a great final, but Jess is not happy! We dig deep into Sae's (JPN) floor routine. Who fanned themselves better? Afasanava or Maggie? We talk high bar: Chris Brooks' routine reminds us why gymnastics is an important life skill Cordelia channels Yin. Where are the giant Rio tickets? We talk how everyone else can get to Rio. Guess who has guaranteed himself an automatic spot to Rio? Maaaaaanriqueeeeeeeeeee! Simone made history AGAIN! More Simone please. Glasgow has set the new standard. We love you Glasgow and thank you for your hospitality!

Kapitel 43 - Ison & Fille, Fillle & Ison

Brrappp!

129: Why Gabby Left Chow (or Chow left Gabby) and Glasgow World Cup

Larisa Iordache ended the year on a high, winning the 2014 Glasgow World Cup.

This week we've included time stamps for each segment of the show per your request. Let us know if you like it.  Uncle Tim, Emma, and Jessica chat about:

The Glasgow World Cup (00:00): massive moments of joy, shooting fire, Vanessa Ferrari looking tired, pulling shorts up to belly buttons, John Orozco and Oleg Verniaiev scamping around Glasgow, why Pauline Schaefer of Germany stole the show. Plus the juniors we fell in love with from Espoir. The Mexican Open (34:14): The Four Amiga's: Boguinskaya, Daniela Silivas, Podkopayeva, and Chusovitina; the greatness that is Marta Pihan-Kulesza's exquisite form; the return of the fierce little Italian, Enus Mariani to international competition; and most importantly, our review of the latest super bling $10,000 leotard by GK. NCAA previews (52:49): Our thoughts of Chayse Capps new floor routine, the genius that is Stacey Ervin's stick-a-thon floor routine and our gratittude for NCAA gymnastics after the long artistic drought that is the elite gymnastics code of points hell. Our favorite items from the 2014 Ultimate Gym Nerd Gift Guide (1:01:16) and what Uncle Tim's gymnastics nieces want for Christmas. It involves heavy excavation machinery. Uncle Tim gives his review of Cirque du Soliel's steampunk-inspired show, Kurios--complete with droplets of man sweat and what made the wive's in the audience smack their husband's mouthes closed. (1:05:34) Gymternet News (1:13:43): Gabrielle Douglas's agent dished all the dirt on why Dougy left Chow's, an explanation for Mustafina's poor performance in  Stuttgart, the coming out stories of a  rhythmic and artistc Olympian, how we feel about men's and women's Olympic trials being held separately, new skills in the code of points and why you should sign up for college Fantasy Gymnastics. Mail Call (1:41:43): An outraged Russian listener, Irish Daniel asks what we think of Verona van de Leur announcing her comeback, and a very knowledgable listener takes gymnasts to task for copyright theft against choreographers.

Ison Glasgow i Kronologen

Programledare: Jenny Seth.

Kenny Glasgow - DHA Mixtape #217

♫ Read More ♫: http://www.deephouseamsterdam.com/mix-217-kenny-glasgow/ With only two weeks on the clock for his 10-track EP release 'Circus Tales', Canadian electronic music pioneer Kenny Glasgow provides a warmly-defined electro-machina mix of sound. After spending the last 5 years as half the acclaimed duo Art Department, Glasgow has returned to his solo roots - functioning as a musical engineer, music composer, lyricist, and vocalist. Glasgow immersed himself into the scene by acting as a promoter, putting on illicit warehouse parties in his native Toronto before progressing to become a resident at the acid house meccas The Buzz and Industry Nightclub. It was here where he picked up his sense of the dance floors, permuting his experiences into his own trademark - emotively tortured sounds with unique gravelly vocals and textured synths. As such, his forthcoming LP 'Circus Tales' will bare these trademarks, as will the upcoming music he'll be releasing under a new label run by himself and Mr White - Social Experiment. Taking it's name from the club nights and mix series No.19 Music had overseen, the label plans to curate only the most compelling focuses in club music.

MultiTrack -> New Take SR P3 2012-10-12 0630
