DID HITLER FAKE HIS DEATH?

It has long been believed that Adolf Hitler took his own life, but is it possible that he faked the suicide?

Adolf Hitler supposedly killed himself by gunshot on 30 April 1945 in his Führerbunker in Berlin. His wife Eva (née Braun) committed suicide with him by taking cyanide. That afternoon, in accordance with Hitler's prior instructions, their remains were carried up the stairs through the bunker's emergency exit, doused in fuel, and set on fire in the Reich Chancellery garden outside the bunker. Records in the Soviet archives show that their burned remains were recovered and interred in successive locations until 1970, when they were again exhumed, cremated, and the ashes scattered.

It seems possible, or even likely, that Hitler had an elaborate plan, or plans, in place to make possible an escape to avoid capture by his enemies in the event that his regime would be toppled.  Many believe Hitler committed suicide to avoid the humiliation that his ally, Benito Mussolini, had been subjected to, which included execution and public display of his body by hanging it by meat hooks next to a gas station.

Many Nazis escaped to foreign countries, especially South American countries, and that fact tends to support the theory that Hitler did the same.  Among the Nazis and war criminals that escaped include Adolf Eichmann to Argentina, Franz Stangl to Brazil, Gustav Wagner to Brazil, Erich Priebke to Argentina, Klaus Barbie to Bolivia, Eduard Roschmann to Argentina, Aribert Heim most likely to Egypt, and several others.

Post-graduate student Simoni Renee Guerreiro Dias has outlined her theory, claiming the fascist actually died at age 95.  The book, titled 'Hitler in Brazil - His Life and His Death', challenges the accepted view that the dictator shot himself in his Berlin bunker on April 30 1945.  She claims he may have lived as Adolf Leipzig in the small town of Nossa Senhora do Livramento, 30 miles from the state capital Cuiaba.  Simoni, a Brazilian who comes from Cuiaba, says Leipzig was known locally as the 'Old German.'

In any event, we know Hitler could not be alive today, because he would be 126 years old..

The Last Days of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich

In 1939, German Chancellor Adolf Hitler unleashed his legions -- some two million strong -- on neighboring Poland, catapulting the world into a six-year war that ultimately witnessed the death of tens of millions and left Europe in ruins. Among these losses were over 200,000 Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice to liberate a captive people from the grip of a merciless dictator. This is the story of Hitler's fall from power and the final days of the Third Reich. From the tenacious Soviet defense of Stalingrad, Leningrad and Moscow, to Hitler's last great offensive at the Battle of the Bulge, you will learn about the cataclysmic battles that weakened German forces and ultimately contributed to their defeat. In addition, you will hear a recently released recording of Hitler's voice as he recounts strategic errors made in Germany's attack on the Soviet Union. And, we'll give you insight into the fuhrer's personal life as he descends into mental and physical decay. You'll hear about home movies featuring his mistress Eva Braun as they relax at their retreat in Berchtesgaden. In this compelling episode of "War Stories with Oliver North," hear amazing personal stories from individuals who found themselves in the fuhrer's service and from American soldiers dedicated to bringing Nazi power to an end. You will meet a soldier of the Waffen SS who witnessed the attempted assassination on Hitler's life and a sixteen-year-old Hitler Youth who was in the Berlin bunker as Russian troops stormed the city. Meet General George Patton's jeep driver as he recounts crossing the Rhine with the 3rd Army, a liberator of the Dachau Concentration Camp and an American B-17 turret gunner shot down over enemy lines. Here's the story of the last days of the Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich as witnessed by those who were there. Check out these other free FOX News podcasts! Was Hitler anti-Christian? Richard Weikart vs Richard Carrier

Hitler is often claimed to have been an atheist or a Christian by believers and sceptics eager to put the dictator in the other's camp. Christian historian Richard Weikart argues he was neither in his new book "Hitler's Religion: The twisted beliefs that drove the Third Reich".

Richard Carrier is an atheist historian who has researched Hitler's purported anti-Christian statements often quoted by apologists in his book "Hitler, Homer, Bible, Christ". He says that Hitler was anti-Catholic but thought of himself as a "positivist" Christian. In contrast Weikart argues Hitler was a pantheist who personally despised Christianity and only used it in public to aid his rise to power.

Hitler, La Guía Definitiva: El Fuhrer #documental

★★★★★  Tom Rhodes Radio Review for Lucie Pohl in ‘Hi, Hitler!’

Tom Rhodes Radio give the show 'Hi, Hitler' by Lucie Pohl a 5 star review! This show is so fast paced, character driven and funny that I saw it twice.

The eye catching title of this show comes from the adorable tale of how Lucie Pohl as a child thought the Nazis were saying hi to Hitler and not heal Hitler.

Is it possible to make Hitler adorable? Lucie Pohl can! She even drew Hitler innumerable times as a kid and wanted to go as Hitler for carnival but that kind of action is illegal in Germany where she was born. Her show is the story of her life and it is greatly influenced by the New York style of one person shows that I hold sacred like Eric Bogosian's Sex Drugs & Rock & Roll and John Leguizamo's Freak. Expertly performed Lucie Pohl keeps you captivated as her story pops from one scene of her life to another.

As a child loving David Hasselhoff in her native Germany, her successful father moving her family to New York City, having artistic parents with dramatic lives living in Greenwich Village, her moving back to Germany to pursue her dream of acting, getting her knees skinned up from a bad romantic choice to finding love on a beach in Greece on the island of Rhodes. With magnanimous charm she plays all of the characters in her life and the journey she has experienced up to this point.

Her show is so enjoyable you can't help but think why isn't this woman a superstar actor by now but we should be grateful because superstar actors never give us brilliant one person performances like this rooted in the very fabric that makes theater great and greatly inspiring.

Lucie Pohl's show is also on at the Gilded Ballon like mine and I met her very early in the run hanging out in the performer's Loft Bar. She is a delight on every level and an artist I hope never forgets that making solid one hour performances is the glue that holds all of show business together. It is my pleasure to present to you now, the one and only Lucie Pohl!

SG #043: Stauffenberg

Also genauer darauf einzugehen, was Stauffenberg gefühlt, gedacht und geplant hat.

Author Debriefing: Church of Spies: The Pope’s Secret War Against Hitler

SPY Executive Director Peter Earnest sat down with author Mark Riebling to discuss his new book on the wartime espionage of the Catholic Church. The Vatican’s silence in the face of Nazi atrocities remains one of the great controversies of our time. History has accused wartime pontiff Pius the Twelfth of complicity in the Holocaust and dubbed him “Hitler’s Pope.” But a key part of the story has remained untold. In fact, Pius ran the world’s largest church, smallest state, and oldest spy service. Saintly but secretive, he skimmed from church charities to pay covert couriers, and surreptitiously tape-recorded his meetings with top Nazis. When he learned of the Holocaust, Pius played his cards close to his chest. He sent birthday cards to Hitler—while secretly plotting to kill him. Church of Spies documents this cloak and dagger intrigue in shocking detail. Gun-toting Jesuits stole blueprints to Hitler’s homes. A Catholic book publisher flew a sports plane over the Alps with secrets filched from the head of Hitler’s bodyguard. The keeper of the Vatican crypt ran a spy ring that betrayed German war plans and wounded Hitler in a briefcase bombing.
