CGS Joseph Cullen

The Celtic Graves Society are proud to announce a ceremony to commemorate the final resting place of JOSEPH CULLEN At St Kentigerns RC Cemetery, 951 Balmore Road, Glasgow On Saturday 25th February 2017 at 12 noon (Prior to the Hamilton Academical game) Speakers at the event shall include: Jim Craig, Lisbon Lion and Celtic Graves Society Patron John Fallon, Lisbon Lion and former Celtic Goalkeeper Tony Hamilton, Chief Executive of Celtic FC Foundation Celtic Historian A blessing of the grave will be conducted by Father White of St Mary of the Assumption Church, Calton Born in 1868 to Irish parentage in the Hutchesontown Burgh of Glasgow, Joe Cullen would go on to become the goalkeeper in the first ever Celtic team to lift the Scottish FA Cup in 1892. Joe Cullen was signed from Benburb on 1st January 1892 immediately after the bhoys had been at the wrong end of an 8-0 thrashing by Dumbarton at the original Celtic Park. The erratic performance of keeper Tom Duff was seen as one of the main causes of that friendly defeat and in response the bhoys went out and quickly secured the services of Cullen and he made his debut the very next day at Cathkin Park in a 3-1 win over Third Lanark. The former Scottish Junior international was in goals for Celtic's first Scottish Cup triumph in April 1892 and in August that year he played in the first match to be staged at the present Celtic Park. The great Dan McArthur would eventually oust Joe from his starting spot and after 73 games for Celtic he moved to London to Tottenham Hotspur in May 1897 then subsequently to Lincoln City. Joseph Cullen was Celtic's goalkeeper in a period when to be a goalkeeper was a hazardous occupation. This was due to the barging of goalkeepers, known as bungling, which was a major part of the game. Joseph represented Celtic between 1892 and 1897 and won one Scottish Cup in 1892, two league titles (1892/93 and 1893/94) and two Glasgow Merchants' Charity Cups (1891/92 and 1892/93). Sadly he died prematurely from pneumonia in 1905. All supporters are welcome to attend and leave flowers at the graveside.

Animé par Mehdi Maizi avec Brice Bossavie, Aurélien Chapuis et Nicolas Pellion RÉFÉRENCES CITÉES DANS L’ÉMISSION Dark Sky Paradise (Big Sean, GOOD Music, 2015), I Decided (Big Sean, GOOD Music, 2017), Jhene Aiko, Bounce Bake (I Decided, Big Sean, GOOD Music, 2017), Drake, 21 Savage, Kanye West, J.Cole (à réecouter, notre podcast sur J.Cole ->, Voices In My Head/Stick To The Plan (I Decided, Big Sean, GOOD Music, 2017), DJ Dahi, Metro Boomin, Amaire Johnson, Noah “40” Shebib, Dark Side Paradise (Dark Sky Paradise, Big Sean, GOOD Music, 2015), Moves (I Decided, Big Sean, GOOD Music, 2017), Move That Dope (Future ft. THE GOOD NURSE-Charles Graeber

After his December 2003 arrest, registered nurse Charlie Cullen was quickly dubbed "The Angel of Death" by the media. But Cullen was no mercy killer, nor was he a simple monster. He was a favorite son, husband, beloved father, best friend, and celebrated caregiver. Implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients, he was also perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history. Cullen's murderous career in the world's most trusted profession spanned sixteen years and nine hospitals across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. When, in March of 2006, Charles Cullen was marched from his final sentencing in an Allentown, Pennsylvania, courthouse into a waiting police van, it seemed certain that the chilling secrets of his life, career, and capture would disappear with him. Now, in a riveting piece of investigative journalism nearly ten years in the making, journalist Charles Graeber presents the whole story for the first time. Based on hundreds of pages of previously unseen police records, interviews, wire-tap recordings and videotapes, as well as exclusive jailhouse conversations with Cullen himself and the confidential informant who helped bring him down, THE GOOD NURSE weaves an urgent, terrifying tale of murder, friendship, and betrayal. Were it not for the hardboiled, unrelenting work of two former Newark homicide detectives racing to put together the pieces of Cullen's professional past, and a fellow nurse willing to put everything at risk, including her job and the safety of her children, there's no telling how many more lives could have been lost. TBP 051 :: Sean McColl Tells Us How He Trains
About Sean McColl

This is an interview with 28 year-old Sean McColl, a well-known Canadian climber who's accomplished amazing things both outdoors and in competitions.

I can't describe his amazing accomplishments better than he does on his website, so here's an excerpt...

"Sean was the Canadian Youth Champion in his age group ever year from 1999-2005 having won every National Championships he attended. During his youth career, Sean claimed 5 world titles; since no other youth competitor has won more titles; this achievement is unsurpassed in youth climbing history to this day."

"Since Sean started competing on the World Cup circuit, he has won 4 events (2 in bouldering, 2 in lead) and been on the podium another 23 times. Sean has won the Overall CombinedRankings and has been 2rd and 3rd in the Lead and Boulder Overall rankings respectively."

"As an outdoor climber, Sean has onsighted 5.14a (8b+) and climbed multiple 5.14d’s (9a). On the bouldering side, Sean is one of a dozen climbers in the world to flash the grade of V13 (8B) and redpoint V15 (8C)."

He seems to only be getting stronger as he gets older. In March of this year (2016), he won the Rab CWIF, a big competition in Sheffield, England, where he beat out Ty Landman, Jimmy Webb, and Jorg Verhoeven (video).

He spends most of his year training for competitions, and only sometimes makes it outside to climb on real rock.

Whew! Sean is a badass. We've all seen videos of his crazy training (here he is on the campus board), but I wanted to find out more details about how he trains.

What We Talked About How he trained as a kid What his training cycles look like Training for bouldering vs route climbing Campus board, fingerboard, climbing drills His schedule His diet Sean McColl Links Sean's website: Sean on Facebook Sean's Instagram: @mccollsean Sean on Dreamcatcher (14d in Squamish) (Video)
Cullen Davis - 221 - Generation Why

Cullen Davis. 1976-1978. Fort Worth, Texas. An oil heir from Fort Worth, Texas is estranged from his second wife. While the divorce process continues, the judge seems to be a real thorn in his side. Increasing his monthly payments to her and having him cover legal fees. Worse yet, she gets to stay in the house and all business decisions must be cleared by Judge Eidson. On August 2nd, 1976, the man's estranged wife, Priscilla, returns home with her boyfriend and they are ambushed by a man wearing a wig and carrying a gun in his hands and wrapped in black plastic. The man will shoot them both. She will somehow make it to a neighbor's house and the police will be called. Found dead at the home was her boyfriend as well as her youngest child, 12 year-old Andrea. Another man was injured with a shot to his spine who had arrived with his girlfriend shortly after. Priscilla, as well as the other two survivors, would name the attacker. They said it was Cullen Davis, who was married to Priscilla. He would be brought to trial for the murders, but these were not the only crimes that he would be charged with. He would also be caught on tape by the FBI paying a man for the murder of Judge Eidson. His divorce judge wasn't actually murdered, but Cullen was tricked into believing he was and handed over $25k. Two trials occurred with very good evidence against him in each. The results of these trials puts Cullen Davis right up there with Robert Durst and OJ Simpson.

114: Sean Croxton - The Pursuit Of An Authentic Life

Sean Croxton launched a health focused YouTube channel in 2007 that became an instant hit.

In 2008, when nobody really knew what a podcast was, Sean launched his first show, Underground Wellness Radio. The podcast ran for 7 years and he released 348 episodes over this period of time. Underground Wellness Radio focused on all things real food and functional medicine with a bit of personal development, on the side.

Surprising to most, in 2015 Sean closed up shop with his brand Underground Wellness and started a new podcast, The Sessions. On his new show, he flipped the focus to personal development with a sprinkle of health.

Sean has big plans to focus on and dominate the personal health space for years to come.

In this episode, we discuss:

Sean Croxton, the early years Sean's social anxiety and his experiment with Paxil The backward education Sean got in college Having faith and expectancy with the work you do You won't receive without giving first The money you earn is in direct proportion to the service you give Stop focusing on the haters The pivot from Underground Wellness to The Sessions The root cause of a lot of health problems resides in the mind The importance of loving what you do for a living Get unstuck by figuring out who you are and what you're capable of The power of putting your authentic self out to the world Growth = happiness

COLUMBINE- Dave Cullen

On April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold left an indelible stamp on the American psyche. Their plan was staggering: to blow up their school, surpass Oklahoma City in horror, and leave "a lasting impression on the world." The bombs failed. But the unprecedented attack unleashed a new era of violence in schools—branding every future shooting "another Columbine." When we think of Columbine, we think of the Trench Coat Mafia; Cassie Bernall, mistaken Columbine martyr; and Patrick Ireland, "the boy in the window"—the whole world watching his gutsy escape. Now, in a gripping work of journalism a full decade in the making, comes the story we never knew. In this revelatory book, Dave Cullen debunks the myths and produces a profile of teen killers that burrows to the core of psychopathology. He reveals two radically different killers: Eric Harris, the callously brutal mastermind, and Dylan Klebold, the quivering depressive who journaled obsessively about love and attended the Columbine prom three days before opening fire. Columbine unfolds seamlessly, in an unforgettable tale of two honor students with a healthy circle of friends, secretly stockpiling a cache of weapons in the basement. They recorded their vitriol on film while manipulating every adult who could have stopped them. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold left warnings all around them—described by Cullen with a sharp investigative eye and psychological acumen. Culling from hundreds of interviews, thousands of police files, testimony from world-class psychologists brought in by the FBI, and the boys' videos and journals, he delivers the first comprehensive account of the tragic Columbine school shooting. A riveting tale of murder, redemption, police cover-up, and a town torn apart—the haunting cautionary tale for our age. COLUMBINE-Dave Cullen

Sean: Just look at the quality of that. You won’t find a finer one anywhere.

Patrice: It’s nice, but it’s more than I want to spend.

Sean: Okay, just for you, I’ll knock off 10%. What do you say?

Patrice: I think it’s still too pricey. I think I’ll pass.

Sean: Wait! Don’t be so hasty. What you have there is a one-of-a-kind item. You don’t want to pass up something this special.

Patrice: I’ll think about it…

Sean: How about if I throw in a second one for the same price, a two-for-one offer?

Patrice: I thought you said this was one-of-a-kind.

Sean: Did I? I meant to say that there aren’t many out there like it. I just happen to have two. How about it?

Patrice: I think I’ll shop around first.

Sean: This offer is only good right now, so don’t walk away.

Patrice: Like I said, I’ll think about it…

Sean: All right. Name your price. Make me a reasonable offer and I’ll let you have it.

Patrice: How about 30% off?

Sean: That’s highway robbery! I’m just a street vendor trying to make a living here.

Patrice: Take it or leave it.

Sean: All right, you have a deal. You drive a hard bargain. You wouldn’t be looking for a job, would you?

807 - Getting an Unexpected Marriage Proposal

First comes love, then comes marriage – but right away? Learn about how not to ask someone to marry you on this episode.

Slow dialog: 1:20
Explanations: 3:24
Fast dialog: 13:51

Sean: By now, I think you know how I feel about you. I’m madly in love with you and I believe in my heart of hearts that you’re my soul mate.

Ayako: That’s really sweet of you to say.

Sean: And because I feel the way I do, I would like to ask you a very important question.

Ayako: Okay, but why are you getting down on one knee...?

Sean: Ayako, would you marry me?

Ayako: Marry you?! Is this a marriage proposal?

Sean: Yes, and before you say anything else, I just want you to know that I’ve given this a lot of thought and I’m convinced that we’re made for each other.

Ayako: I don’t think...

Sean: And you just have to say the word and we could elope tomorrow, if you wanted to.

Ayako: Elope?!

Sean: Or, if you prefer, we can have a lavish wedding. I’m not picky. I just want us to be husband and wife.

Ayako: Sean, you’re a really nice guy, but don’t you think you might be jumping the gun?

Sean: No. You know what they say: “When it’s right, it’s right.”

Ayako: We’ve only been on two dates!

Sean: Yes, but they have been the best two dates of my life!

More Than 4 with Four-Time Cancer Survivor Sean Fredella

Before turning 13, Sean Fredella would have battled cancer 4 different times. Sean’s war with cancer started on Valentine’s Day of 2003, when he was no older than 2 years-old. Having gone through leukemia, a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, and radiation all within a seven-and-a-half-year course, Sean represents the definition of resiliency.

In 2011, the Mountain Brook native was diagnosed with a rare adult tumor, “esthesioneuroblastoma.” After multiple treatments and a resilient heart, Sean would be declared cancer-free at 13 years old. Now, years later, he will fight for children who can’t fight themselves.

“Ever since I beat cancer, I felt like my fight wasn’t over.”

Now, Sean spends his time creating a tribe of supporters behind the motto, “Our kids deserve more than 4%.” This saying was built upon the fact that only 4% of the money donated to cancer research is allotted to pediatric cancer research. Sean has vigorously recruited companies, organizations, sports teams, and individuals to support his efforts in making September a “golden” month in support of his campaign #MoreThan4Athletics. “Sports can motivate people and change people’s lives.”

“Maybe this is the generation…this is the time where people are going to stand up, come together, and help.”

We hope you enjoy this podcast as much as we enjoyed recording it. The MindSide stands by #MoreThan4Athletics
