  • Welcome to Episode 24! This week we are joined by Nicola Salmon, who is based in the UK. She's our very first international podcast guest! Nicola is a fat-positive and feminist fertility coach who advocates for change in how fat women are treated on their fertility journey. She supports fat women (and others with disordered eating) who are struggling to get pregnant to find peace with their body, find their own version of health and finally escape the yo-yo dieting cycle.

This episode is full of compassionate and insightful advice about how a non-diet approach and intuitive eating can be helpful for supporting fertility and mental health. Afterwards, be sure to check out Nicola's free online resources. Enjoy

  • Welcome to our Part 2 of our mini-series on Body Positive Fitness! We are continuing our conversation with Jenna Jozefowski (@itsjennaj)

PART 2: This is where we talk about how we’ve gotten it wrong when it comes to what actually promotes health (spoiler: it’s not weight loss). Jenna talks about the benefits of exercise that have absolutely NOTHING to do with burning calories, and some small ways to start being less rigid with the way you move. Plus, she gives some of my FAVORITE advice about joyful movement and being less judgmental - listen closely and see if you catch it.

  • Welcome to our first mini-series! We are excited to sit down for an extended interview with Jenna Jozefowski, a body positive fitness instructor, personal trainer, and yoga teacher. Her work is all about helping you reframe your relationship with exercise, find the fun in movement, and feel better your body. As a semi-retired professional dancer, Jenna first discovered yoga as a cross-training tool, and has been teaching and coaching for over a decade. She’s an E-RYT 200 & Yoga For All Teacher, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and StrongFirst SFG1 Kettlebell Instructor. Jenna is a Body Positive Fitness Alliance Affiliated Professional, and believes that “fit” looks different on everybody.

PART 1: Meet Jenna and get introduced to joyful movement! You'll learn about her background as a dancer and how it influenced her journey to cultivate more body positive spaces in the fitness industry. We share examples of what joyful movement *actually* is (not what we think it is when we're dieting) and how to recognize if your relationship with movement and exercise may be in a troubled spot.
