In the city of Austin, Texas, between December 1884 and December 1885, seven women and one man were murdered, and an additional six women and two men were injured.
The victims were all attacked in their beds with an axe, and there were other similarities between many of the murders, leading some to believe that they were the work of America's first serial killer.
We introduce this brand new case and outline the details of these unsolved murders.

Welcome to season two of Crime Girl Gang!In this episode we talk to Boston police officer Bruce about the city's most unsettling unsolved murder: the case of Karina Holmer. Karina was a young Swedish woman who travelled to the USA to be a nanny after winning the lottery in her home country.
However, this unexpected good fortune soon turned into a nightmare, and on June 21st, 1996, the upper part of her body was found in a dumpster in downtown Boston. This shocking, unsolved case has baffled police for decades, and in this episode we talk about Karina's last known movements, the evidence at the scene, and a strange note she sent back to Sweden.

Episode Summary
We introduce ‘The Somerton Man' case, or the ‘Tamam Shud' case: the mystery of a man found on a beach in Adelaide in 1948.He was smartly dressed with a lot of intriguing clues including no identification and a piece of a book hidden within his clothing. This case has never been solved to this day, although it has attracted an awful lot of attention.
There is lots of information and speculation about this case which we look into during this episode. We utilise our Aussie host's knowledge of Adelaide, which is actually her hometown. She tells us what it’s like there (leading us to wonder why she lives here), and why Adelaide is touted as the murder capital of the world...even though it’s not.
We also find out that Victoria wanted to be a spy.
