CW: Physical, emotional and financial abuse, sexual assault and rape culture.
Some people should never be given a badge of authority. When Juanita got married, everyone in her life kept saying she was with such a good man. After all he was a school prefect who became a police officer. But what went on behind doors was a very different story.
This is a harrowing story of the abuse that can happen when people are put in positions of authority and abuse that power. It is also a story of survival and not giving up even when all seems lost.

She talks to Tom and Liz about what she’s learnt dating as her true self later in life.

Michelle married Jared. Michelle divorced Jared. Then Carly married Jared.
And somehow the two women found an unlikely friendship that Liz thinks is REALLY WEIRD (but that’s probably because she’s projecting).

Take a trip down memory lane with a story from our archives.
A date, on a tractor, in an abandoned constructions site, at night? Jackie says yes. And then there was the "yoga" date that was ... well ... even we don't quite know how to explain it. The word cult comes to mind? London-based voice actor and stand-up comedian Jacqueline Ozorio has been on some interesting dates.
Jackie is a London-based trained voice actor with a passion for character work and storytelling.
To further my career as a performer, she moved to London after completing her postgrad in Scriptwriting at Griffith University. She was later accepted into the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (RCSSD) where she completed an MA in Music Theatre.
Jackie then wrote her first musical, a modern feminist comedy called ‘Real Women', alongside musical director and composer Matthew Samer, which enjoyed great success in the 2015 Queensland Cabaret Festival.
Since 2018 she's been a regular on the Penny Peepshow podcast, and love the challenge of giving life to so many different characters. Alongside her professional voice over and theatre work, she can also be found doing stand-up comedy on London's open mic circuit.
To keep herself fresh and engaged, she also trains in long-form improv with London's largest improv school, the Free Association, and in her spare time she loves to play DnD, watch horror films, and knit hats on the tube.

Are workplace relationships a blessing or a curse for your career? •What would you do if your boss asked you out and you had no interest?
•What would you do if you were interested?
•You have been dating someone in your team, and are now no longer interested in going out with them. How do you break it off without damaging the work relationship?
•You have been dating someone more senior for a while in your team and people have been making comments of favouritism - how do you handle the situation?
•What would you do if you heard that the person you used to date is spreading rumours about you and has even sent a personal text from you to others?
•You are at a work function and everyone is having fun. John who you work with looks pretty good all of a sudden. You have an amazing night, however, things are different in the light of day. You are not interested anymore, however, John thinks he has found his soul mate. What do you do?

Long distance relationships are hard… and J.M Donellan aka Josh should know. He’s had four of them! (Fool me once, shame on me, fool me four times?) He joins Liz and Tom to talk about one of the grand romances that spanned four (yes, FOUR) continents.
J.M. DONELLAN is a writer, musician, poet, and teacher. Aside from novels and poetry he’s also written plays, video games, the internationally admired podcast series Six Cold Feet and the dance performance INTER. His latest novels are the gothic mystery Lenore’s Last Funeral and the surreal thriller Rumors of Her Death. The film version of the latter is currently in development with Continuance Pictures. He’s won numerous awards in a range of artistic fields but refuses to list them all here because no one likes a braggart.
