  • Join us today for another conversation about everything and nothing - we hit on wide-ranging topics such as sending your kids to camp (and what REALLY went down one night with Ford vs Rob), meeting teens where they're at (even if it's a social platform you've never heard of before), and the current number one movie in America that may be named either Hobbs and Shaw or Calvin and Hobbes. Who can really say who's right?

  • This episode is a little different from what you're used to hearing on RISE Together, but we had an absolute blast recording it! That's because today we're talking with some of the mega-talented staff here at Hollis Co HQ about love, marriage, and singlehood in the 20-teens (is that what we're calling it?) Four of our hardworking teammates (including a couple you might recognize from social media or RISE conferences!) took time out of their busy schedules to get emotional, honest, and raw with us on topics ranging from how to use dating apps to how to help your partner be better in your relationship. If you have relationship questions you might want to ask in a future podcast - make sure you send them to us over social media!

  • This week, by popular demand, we're talking about confrontation styles. How do you fight with your partner? Do you aim to wound, or are you trying to find a peaceful resolution? Maybe your fighting style is to avoid fighting at all costs. Everyone's confrontation style is a little different, and oftentimes how we fight with our current partner is informed by the traumas of our past - past relationships, childhood modeling, and even media. This is a great episode to listen to with your partner as we dig into some hard truths and challenge YOU to get real about what you're holding onto and what you can stand to let go.

  • We built a gym in our garage! You might be wondering, why did we do that, or maybe how did we do that? Well, we'll tell you. This episode is for the people that are interested in taking their health or their fitness to the next level. We discuss the pros and cons of our at home gym, our individual exercise habits and what gets us motivated to get our workouts in. Making our gym has had such a positive impact on our lives that we thought we would share the why's, the how's, and the what's that went into making our gym, in case you were considering it too.

  • Recently, we lost someone close to us. That loss made us reflect on our lives and what we hold as important. We can all get stuck in those negative emotions we associate with grief if we don't give them some sort of outlet. For us, that outlet looks like talking about it. How do we deal with grief? How can loss create a space in which to examine and reevaluate your own life? Are you proud of the life you're living? These are just some of the tough questions we cover today.

At some point in time, every single one of you who listens to this podcast will deal with the topic of grief and have to address it in order to maintain healthy relationships in your life. So, even though we didn't want to have this hard conversation, we did, because it matters.

If you're interested in hearing my interview with Joe Biden mentioned today, it is episode 83: 'My Conversation with Joe Biden' of the RISE podcast.

  • The best version of yourself is with you, all the time. Yes, even when you're on vacation. This week we're challenging the mindset that you get to step in and out of your efforts to be the best you can be. If you're working to be a better partner, worker, friend, then that's an everyday effort. Listen in as Dave and I cover many of the ways our focus on our habits and goals (even on vacation) has kept us on the path to who we want to become.

  • This week for Rise Together we're discussing health based sabotage. We've defined and named four partner types whose behaviors can negatively impact your health journey, based on our own experiences. We hope that by outlining these archetypes, you can be more mindful of external behaviors that might keep you from focusing on your own health and fitness goals. Knowing what might throw you off will help you to establish a sturdy foundation for yourself, no matter what goal you're chasing.

  • This week on Rise Together, it's my time! I'm going solo and responding to Dave's episode, "What Men Want" with the five things that women really want. There are all kinds of women in the world, but this is a reflection of what I, Rachel Hollis, actually want out of a relationship and a partner. If there is something you hear today that you relate to and wish your partner could understand about you, then this is the episode to pass along to start that conversation!

  • Dave and I are not like other couples in a lot of ways, and proud of it! In this episode, we discuss how being different has shaped our relationship. From prioritizing our health to our willingness to dive head-first into the hard conversations, we break down our list of what we feel makes our relationship different. If we don't sound like you, that's great, because every relationship is completely unique. The only questions is how do you take these traits and quirks and make them a foundation of your relationship?

  • Today on Rise Together, it's our anniversary! We've been married for an incredible 15 years this week, so it seems like a good time to look back over our relationship and spend some time discussing what we did right and wrong in all those years. We also try to impart some wisdom on our former selves. Our marriage is one of the greatest gifts in our lives, but it's also taken a massive amount of work and commitment on both of our parts to make it as strong as it is. So whether you're single, engaged, newlyweds, or deep into your journey, we hope you can take something away from this conversation.

  • Today on Rise Together, we are so privileged to have Devon Still as our guest. Devon is a former NFL player who famously took the field after his daughter Leah's devastating pediatric cancer diagnosis and helped her fight her illness while bringing an unbelievable amount of attention to the cause and helping others in the same devastating situation. Devon talks to me about how he was able to walk alongside her after himself almost dying himself, and why he chose to bring her fight onto the field.

Devon is an absolute inspiration and if you have ever had to lend you strength to someone with an illness, I think you'll find a lot of comfort in this interview.
