Nathan Keeley will be riding his skateboard, unassisted, over 300 kilometers from Port Macquarie to Newcastle in the name of suicide prevention. Nathan has osteoarthritis in his knees.
In this week's episode, Nathan shares about his early days growing up, the challenges he faced at home, finding skateboarding as a place of solace, family separation, being separated from his son, his battles with drug and alcohol addiction, the day he hit rock bottom, getting and staying sober, finding love, raising his children, the ongoing issues with his knees, and much more.

We record at her home in the eastern suburbs of Sydney on a balmy spring evening with the sound of crickets in the background (which I discovered was near impossible to edit out, but it slowly becomes ambient noise). Sally discusses her early life growing up in the northern beaches area of Sydney, the challenges she faced as a child of divorce, finding solace and community in skateboarding, what it was like being the only girl at the skatepark for the first 4 years of her skating life, self-imposed pressure to prove herself to the boys, getting sponsored by Kewday and Billabong, entering skate comps, being one of the first skate coaches in Australia with Mick Mulhall, meeting her non-skater husband, starting a family, balancing career, her love for all sports (specifically soccer) and much much more. There was numerous requests for Sally to be on the show, and rightly so, she busted down the door for women’s skateboarding in Australia and maybe the world.
