As one of the lawyers who won the Gomez v. Trump case, I wanted to make sure that everyone is up-to-date on the lastest news and processing information. This episode was broadcast on my Facebook Live page to address the Department of State's instructions on DV2020 applicants, how the lawsuit allows ALL selectees to process (not just Plaintiffs), and what steps each selectee should be taking RIGHT NOW to try to get one of the available DV2020 visas issued by 9/30/2020. I also talk about the ongoing effort to get the judge to allow visa issuance after 9/30/2020.

We take a deep dive into the Government's Response Brief to the Preliminary Injunction on the DV2020 Lottery case we are handling, and we look at the "Declaration of State Department officials for their take on what they have done to stop the processing of visas. A major immigration bomb hit today with the immediate three year backlog on EB-3 and EB-OW categories for the entire world. This has serious implications not only for those with pending labor certifications, but also those with status that is expiring. Politically, it has seriously negative implications for S386, which now loses its main argument, that other countries are getting green cards right away as opposed to two countries that have to wait decades. We talk about the only viable solution, and how we must now work together toward the only rational option--more numbers.

Today with my co-host Phil Kuck, we talk about whether S386 will get a vote soon, and what changes to the bill mean for all sides of the debate, and we take about how to fix the H-1B issue by creating a new visa category just for consulting companies. We also analyze what the Liberian Amnesty means for other TPS holders, what Trump's H-1B Tweet could possibly mean, and how Trump's immigration policies are negatively effecting our population and economic growth

There has been some negotiation between Senator Durbin and Senator Lee and (as of the time of the podcast) the revisions are not public, the terms generally are. There is something for everyone to dislike here. This is what you get when you don't have public hearings. This is sausage getting made.
-
Today we talk about the construction of "The Wall," the effect of #MPP on children and "Marilu's Choice," the decline in Student visas, and the current state of #S386, the Relief Act, and how they can be merged to get the solution we need for all immigrants.

Our show today discusses what the new TPS announcement actually means for El Salvadorans, and how they can still "fix" their immigration situation. We also analyze AG Barr's Friday Night Surprise decisions on Good Moral Character and DUIs, and what the Full Faith and Credit Clause means to Immigration "Court" (hint: its not a real court) as it pertains to "fixing" convictions.

We start with a short description of my talk yesterday to a group of Seniors about Immigration, how it works, what it means, and where we are going, and we take a deep dive into the RELIEF Act, Senator Durbin's #S2603 bill that improves upon and helps make #S386 something we can all use to better U.S. Immigration policy. Comparing them is useful as we move forward toward a functional resolution.
