  • Today, we have Gwen Preston on the podcast to talk about gold, gold miners, the buy-and-build strategy, and West Red Lake Gold.

I started investing heavily in gold and gold equities earlier this year, and it’s been a strange ride, with gold miners lagging behind gold.

Sentiment from Western investors towards them has been horrible, even though gold continues to break through all-time highs.

But we’re starting to see green shoots now, so it’s the perfect time to have Gwen on to discuss gold, gold miners, and what’s really happening in this sector.

Stocks mentioned: West Red Lake Gold Mines (OTCQB:WRLGF,TSXV:WRLG).

  • In the second episode of this podcast, I interviewed John Feneck of Feneck Consulting on critical minerals, among other topics.

During that interview, he mentioned a company called First Tellurium, and afterward, he suggested I invite the company's CEO, Ty Docherty, to the podcast.

First Tellurium is a junior exploration company focused on Tellurium, a niche mineral used in certain types of solar panels, among other things.

But it’s not just a junior exploration company; it also has a technology aspect that I was curious to hear more about.

For this interview, I wanted to focus on Ty’s story and his approach to building junior mining companies.

It’s a fun episode, and I personally love hearing from maverick entrepreneurs like Ty, who put together companies like this and constantly find innovative ways to grow them.

  • On today’s episode, we have Tim Staermose of the African Lions Fund on the podcast.

Tim is a really thoughtful and knowledgeable value investor, and I think his fund, which is focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, is one of the most interesting funds out there.

In recent decades, many countries around the world have made amazing progress, transitioning from being poor to becoming relatively prosperous.

I’m optimistic that many frontier markets, such as those Tim invests in through his fund, will become prosperous too.

However, investors are not paying attention to this area of the world, which allows Tim to achieve the holy grail of value investing: buying growing, resilient, high-quality businesses at deeply discounted prices.

I think Tim made a great case for his strategy and why it makes a lot of sense right now.

  • On today’s episode, we have John Feneck of Feneck Consulting on the show to discuss opportunities in critical minerals and precious metals.

I believe John is one of the best value managers in commodities because he is not only a strategic, big-picture thinker but also exceptionally skilled at identifying undervalued companies led by strong management teams.

In the interview, we discuss the state of the metals markets, and John shares a couple of stocks that he likes.

  • When investing in commodities such as silver, it's important to have a strong conviction in your thesis. Without it, it's easy to get shaken out during a pullback and miss the opportunity for long-term gains.

On today's episode, we have Peter Krauth, author of the book The Great Silver Bull, to dive deep into the fundamentals of silver.

It was a great conversation, and I hope you learn as much as I did.
