Nerdy Show’s epic RPG audio drama, Dungeons & Doritos has long been dormant. The series was side-swiped by an unscheduled hiatus in 2017, a Q&A was released in 2019 with the promise of a return... and now, at long last, the silence is broken!
Cat, Lefty, Colin, and Ruel have once again gathered to game, and on the eve of this momentous event recorded this notice to celebrate the occasion. They've forced Galdap out of retirement, their dice are polished, Doritos have been supped upon, and as of this publishing, we have all new adventures recorded! However, when these sessions will see public release as fully-produced RPG audio dramas is another thing entirely!
New episodes will arrive as soon as possible on an erratic schedule left entirely to the whims of this upside down world, but the important part is: they will come. If you're interested in listening to our RPGs without the audio drama? Raw episodes of Dungeons & Doritos are coming to our Patreon, again, on an erratic schedule, but much faster than fully-produced, finished episodes.

Back from the brink of death, the party finds themselves remarkably more doomed than they were before! A pack of wolves intended to lead the wounded Barty, Jamela, Lefty, and Bogo out of the Jötunnden; only to be intercepted by a god-like ruler of the woods and from there... all hell breaks loose as every freaky animal in the forest gets unleashed and even the plants do their damnedest to help our heroes to a swift demise. Can they survive another lethal onslaught from this magical forest? And if they make it out, what high price will this fool's errand cost?

Some bad news Dungeons & Doritos fans. Our next episode, coming out later this month, will be our last for an undetermined amount of time.
This unscheduled hiatus is the result of an unfolding struggle for one of our key cast members, which Cap can offer some clarity on in this audio update. The short version is that we have no idea when we'll be able to resume recording. It's a bummer situation all around.
This all comes at a really challenging time for two other reasons:
1) Ghostbusters: Resurrection just went on an unscheduled hiatus for completely unrelated circumstances.
And 2) a large shift in our Patreon funding has put us in a position where if D&D were still on schedule, we might not be able to afford for it to come out monthly anymore.
Again, details in this accompanying audio bulletin. We'll keep our Dungeons & Doritos feed updated with details as they come in and we'll get back to recording as soon as possible. In the meantime we're going to divert our production efforts and funding to finishing up several other in-demand RPG audio drama projects: Star Wreck, Pokéballs of Steelix, and a new installment of The Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program.

Deep in the Jötunnden, a forest overrun with magicks and infested with savage beasts, our heroes lay dying. What should have been a simple rescue mission went horrifically wrong and saw Jamela, Barty, Lefty, and Bogo face off against towering man-eaters with iron hides. They beat their foes, but at a terrible cost. Bogo and Lefty are bleeding out, Barty was crushed, and Jamela fell unconscious. They're far from help and woefully unprepared. Pray for healing checks and pray for powerful rolls, 'cause luck and wits are the only things that can get them out of this. After all, we may be an audio drama, but the roleplaying is real, and so is the character death. Just ask Krath.

A risky rescue mission sees our heroes lost in a magic forest that makes even the Northlanders jumpy. Somewhere, out in the all-consuming mists lurk the Jötunn - massive, monstrous man-eaters that did a number on poor ol' Shovel Guy and abducted some of Lefty's crew. Now the Pirate Queen, Jamela, Barty, and Bogo are on the hunt, but soon find themselves hunted. Split up, overpowered, and unprepared, this quest quickly escalates into one of the most dangerous encounters the team has ever faced. Brace yourselves for a harrowing fight to survive against nightmarish odds and savage man-beasts! One bad roll could cost you your life.

Our heroes have themselves a flying boat! ...Kinda. It's a start.
But unfortunately the dwarf who made it possible is none too happy about having her skills put to use by Northlander brutes and is fixing to fly the coop. That, coupled with new problems with Palaver, have the party hustling to navigate choppy social waters - and we all know how good they are at that! Barty, having boned up on his wolfen ways, is determined to return to Doritodan and conquer the lycanthrope who gave him hair in strange places. Lefty and Jamela are hellbent on returning to the Isle of Mages in hopes of gathering reinforcements. Shovel Guy wants to bury Black Pepper Jack. And Bogo... he's blissfully unaware of his friends' complex problems, but that's not going to stop him from getting tangled up in the mess they're making.

Desperately seeking Dwarven magic? Better go on a rune quest!
Our party bravely ventures into realms where even Northlanders fear to tread in hopes of finding a Dwarf to do them a solid. It's off to the treacherous, geologically active region called "The Dragon's Bed" to hunt for some answers. Unfortunately there's something much worse than geysers bursting from the ground: an inexplicable horror is on the prowl and leaving puddles of corrosive goo in its wake. Good thing Jamela, Barty and Lefty brought along a new pal! Introducing a musclebound duckbunny of a Northlander named Bogo; played by Ghostbusters: Resurrection's Doug Banks! If the party can just stop arguing long enough, they might be able to make it out alive.

The clear and present danger of Barty's newly-acquired lycanthropy is no laughing matter. (Okay, well, it definitely is a bit - just not for Barty.) After the "incident" from last episode and with the full moon only a day away... there's a definite cause for concern. Fortunately the Northlanders make good on their promise and our lovable scamp is off to meet the Berzerkergang: a revered pack of shapeshifters. While Barty endures some hard lessons and a fair helping of wolf-mansplaining, Lefty and Jamela have to solve another problem... A certain slippery devil has gotten loose, and if they don't find him there could be hell to pay.

Fortunately, the musclebound and deadly warriors of the North have reason to strike a bargain with the puny Southerners. Unfortunately, it involves a mysterious flying ship and rescuing a captive from a rival war party. Deep in unknown terrain, battling hulking foes on their home turf, the party is going to have to use all their skills and pray to the dice gods... Tiamat... Flamas... any deity who's listening, that they survive this ferocious battle. And, with the odds stacked against them, can Lefty and Jamela keep a leash on the increasingly feral Barty?

The party escaped a monster-infested city within an inch of their lives, but not unscathed - Barty got bit. Now our lovable scamp has a beast inside him, and he's getting hair in strange places! What's more, Barty's main squeeze, Princess Jalapeño has been overthrown. They've got to win back the kingdom against usurpers and otherworldly creatures and find a cure for their teammate. It's a race against the full moon as the party embarks on a quest to find a mage, a healer, a shaman - someone - ANYONE who knows anything about lycanthropy. Now, in the middle of nowhere, Jamela, Lefty, and Barty (with Black Pepper Jack in tow) are hot on the trail of a guy who might know a thing or two. They might get some answers... if the bears don't get them first.
