  • Remy had the extreme pleasure talking to the hilarious and wonderful Salma Hindy -- a first-generation Egyptian-Canadian comedian, writer, actor and performer who has opened for Ken Jeong, Ramy Youssef, Beth Stelling, and Chelsea Handler. Salma tells us all about growing up in a very strict religious household and the ways in which it effected her sexuality and self-view. She tells us all about ending her relationship with people pleasing and how she pivoted to self-pleasing, with the help of therapy, comedy, and a few sex toys. She regales us with many stories of her first time experiencing all things sexual in her late 20s-early 30s and this episode is all of the things Salma is: funny, interesting, endearing, and just gets better and better as time goes on.

TW: Eating disorders, body image issues, religious trauma, sexual assault/ sexual violence, blood

  • Recently, leading luxury lingerie brand Honey Birdette received backlash after featuring non-binary model, Jake DuPree, on its Instagram. Many who do not even follow the brand quickly flocked to the post, flooding it with phobic language and leading the brand to mute the post after 10,000 comments.

We spoke to the center of the scandal; burlesque performer, dancer, model, trailblazer, and extremely positive human, Jake DuPree. Jake tells us about dealing with the backlash, growing up feeling "other" in a small town, what makes them feel gender euphoria, and the incredible beginning of their dance/burlesque career. We also discuss sports and gender and would love to hear your thoughts as well (DM us!)

Finally, we discuss 'corporate pride' on the whole and how to know which brands actually stand with the causes they feign to represent. Unlike many spineless brands we have seen this pride season, in less than 24 hours, Honey Birdette released a statement of solidarity.

  • Remy and Robyn are joined by Ariana Nathani, founder of Drinks First-- a podcast and series of dating events for New York City singles. First we discuss the genius that is the format of her podcast, in which Ariana essentially goes on a "first date" with elligible NYC daters and listeners call in to date them. We talk about different forms of how to meet people romantically in 2023 from Love is Blind to rings that signify if you are single, the truth about being approached in public, and older forms of finding long-term love such as matchmaking. Ariana also tells us about growing up first generation in an Indian household, how to know when you are finally being respected in a relationship, and why it is imperitive to move out of your parents house when dating.

You may notice our intro is FULL of Scandoval aka Vanderpump Rules drama surrounding our former guest the newly single, powerhouse, the other Ariana, Ariana Madix. A lot of it was cut for time but you can have access to the FULL unedited episode with VIDEO at patreon.com/howcum
