Hey everyone, the sequel to 2021's Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the fourth film in this continuity - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - has FINALLY hit theaters here! Better late than never! Hey everyone, Alex Garland’s Civil War, the movie destined to be potentially the most polarizing film in 2024 has hit theaters globally. Being a casual fan of Garland’s previous work like Ex Machina and Annihilation, I was curious how this film would play for me considering I LOVED the trailers for this post-apocalyptic take on America. Hey everyone, welcome back to MOVIE Morning. The trailer for the sequel to one of the first movies I ever reviewed on the show, Joker, has now hit the internet. I loved the first Joker but have had almost zero excitement for this sequel; I’ve been a lot more intrigued and curious. Hey everyone, the greatest superhero (show) in the universe - INVINCIBLE - has finally wrapped up the second half of season 2 on Amazon Prime Video. It has been a long wait to see season 2 and an even longer wait to see season 2 wrap up (obviously), including an almost 4-month long break in between parts. I have LOVED both the comic book series as well as the show for years now and the first half of season 2 was a banger. I went into this really hoping that part 2 could cement season 2 of Invincible as one of the greatest seasons of superhero TV ever. Does it succeed or is it this show's first set of misfires? Hey everyone, the next installment of Legendary's MonsterVerse - Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - has hit theaters globally. I've never been huge into Kaijus and Godzilla films but I surprisingly enjoyed Godzilla vs. Kong (or at least the 30% of it that had epic monster action that was awesome). With Adam Wingard returning to direct I was hopeful that GxK would lean harder into the stuff that worked about the last one. Hey everyone, the 2024 remake of Road House, directed by Doug Liman and the insane amount of controversy on the release of this film, has now hit theatres. I hadn’t seen the original Road House until two months ago when the trailer for this film dropped and looked awesome. Hey everyone, welcome back to MOVIE Morning. X-Men '97, the Marvel Studios revival of the original X-Men Animated Series has now begun on Disney+ with its first two episodes. I LOVE the X-Men and they've been out of the limelight for a few too many years so it's great to see iconic versions of these characters back on the small screen again. I also grew up watching the original 90's show which is still a blast and told some great stories but I was fascinated as to how that show would translate to modern day. So, does X-Men '97 continue the great social commentary and epic action of the original series... or is it yet another show on the pile of Disney+ disappointments? Hey everyone, it's finally happening! A Teen Titans movie is finally in the works at Warner Bros., and specifically DC Studios courtesy of James Gunn. The Hollywood Reporter revealed a couple of hours ago that Ana Noguiera (writer of the upcoming 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow') has been tapped to write the screenplay. The Teen Titans have featured some of my favorite DC heroes ever since I was a kid and I talk about the HUGE potential of this film, as well as the characters I'd like to see on the team, in this episode right here... as well as how they might fit into James Gunn's 10-year, 2-chapter plan for the DCU!

Hey everyone, with the HUGE (and surprise) box office success of Kung Fu Panda 4 so far, I wanted to continue the discussion about one of the most meaningful film franchises to me - the Kung Fu Panda series. Kung Fu Panda 2 was the first movie I EVER remember seeing in theaters and 13 years later, it's crazy that I am now sharing my ranking of all FOUR films in this franchise. Hey everyone, one of my most anticipated movies of the year - Kung Fu Panda 4 - has hit theaters. This franchise and these characters mean the absolute world to me. The first film has been one of my favorite most rewatched films since I was a child and Kung Fu Panda 2 is the first movie I remember seeing in theaters. I absolutely ADORE those first two films but Kung Fu Panda 3... was probably one of the most disappointing filmgoing experiences ever for me. But following Dreamworks' successes like The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, I was hoping Kung Fu Panda 4 would land in that same category. Hey everyone, my 2nd most anticipated movie of 2024 - Dune: Part Two - has now hit theaters globally and I had the opportunity to see it on IMAX just a couple of days ago. Part One was one of my favorite movies of 2021 and Denis Villeneuve has to be one of, if not THE, greatest working directors today. He makes films that perfectly disaplay WHY I love going to the movies and started this show to begin with. And as a fan of the original novel by Frank Herbert, Part One started off with the potential to deliver the perfect Dune adaptation. Hey everyone, Matthew Vaughn's latest film 'Argylle' has hit theaters globally. The backstory behind this film and the original SPY book it's based on has been fascinating and as a huge Matthew Vaughn fan, that only increased my excitement above already being pumped. Hey everyone, the first season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters - the Monster-Verse spin-off show about the Monarch organization and its origins - just wrapped up with its finale on Apple TV+. I have not been a huge fan of this iteration of the Monster-Verse from WB but the glowing reviews for Monarch had me intrigued. I binged a number of the episodes a couple of weeks back to get caught up to watch the final few episodes as they released. So, does Monarch follow the trend of the movies in this franchise and focus on boring human characters... or is it a breath of fresh air? Find out in this review.

Hey everyone, Marvel Studios' Echo - their first TV-MA rated streaming series and first to be released all at once - has dropped on Disney+. As someone who absolutely ADORES Daredevil and really enjoyed Hawkeye, I was hoping this show would be another win for the street-level corner of the MCU but all the behind-the-scenes troubles had me worried. Hey everyone, 2024 has arrived and we have a whole new slate of films to look forward to. From sequels, such as Kung Fu Panda 4 and Gladiator II, to prequels, such as Furiosa and A Quiet Place: Day One, to high-profile directors returning, with films such as Mickey 17 and IF, this year is PACKED with a wide variety of films. This most anticipated list is one of the hardest ones I've done in a while, partially because the slate does feel a little lighter on the comic book and action movie side but that just means that more movies will get represented here which is always great. So, here we go: my most anticipated movies of 2024!
