In the early hours of March 13th 1964, after finishing her shift as a barmaid at Ev's Eleventh Hour Bar in Hollis Queens, 28 year old Kitty Genovese drove home to her apartment and pulled in to the Kew Gardens Apartment Complex in her red convertible Fiat. As she exited from her vehicle and began to walk to her apartment she was brutally attacked by an assailant named Winston Mosley on 2 separate attacks and eventually died from her wounds. While it was reported back then by the New York Times, 38 witnesses saw the murder happen and did nothing to help Kitty, it has now come to light that the article written by The New York Times was inaccurate and severely flawed. On this episode we will delve into what really happened that night and, in fact, we will also shed light on the so called, apathetic bystanders who tried to help Kitty on that fateful night.
