  • Hardcore Underground as a brand was born in 2006 when we released our first compilation CD in the UK & Ireland. Further critically acclaimed compilations have followed, and have featured some of Hardcore's finest DJs showcasing exciting, high quality music from both new and established artists alike. In 2009 we became a record label in our own right, with both the third and fourth albums finding their way into mainstream stores on a new imprint, free from any commercial affiliation with anyone; a truly independent record label. We began releasing singles too (initially on 12” vinyl as well as digitally) through all major stores, and continued to host our unique and popular club nights. We have continued to release high quality music in various formats, including many landmark releases for the genre, both through our own platform and through other major vendors. We remain as committed to (and as passionate about!) pushing things forward as we have ever been. We will always strive to innovate, and we’ll continue to be at the very forefront of releasing modern music as a self-contained, self sufficient media outlet.

  • We Are Hardcore is a weekly podcast with Jay Cunning covering new and classic Hardcore & Jungle from the golden 90's era to now.

  • Hi my name is DJ Mike Speed, I'm 47 and live in West Yorkshire near Leeds. I've been dj'ing since about 1986.

Started off in a youth club playing all kinds of stuff, but early acid house, hip house and classic british hip hop kept appearing in the mix, this is when I started to collect 12" vinyl with my twin brother, there was the odd bit of cheese added at times!

In the late part of 1991 we both got shows on the local pirate radio station Wacky FM, I played 9 while midnight every Friday night and also dj'ed with my brother on a sunday morning. We transformed Wacky FM in to a all dance music station nothing like this was being played like this in our area, a longtime before the likes of Kiss FM yorkshire. I also played a regular show on sister station Unique FM in Huddersfield. After a number of DTI raids, it was time to call it a day in 1995. I was mainly playing Oldskool Hardcore, Jungle, Rave, Early Techno and some Commercial Dance.

I'd been mixing on all different types of belt driven decks until I bought a pair of Technics in 1995, I always admit the belt driven decks did help me out on my mixing, but the Technics helped me so much. My music tastes were changing around this time too, delving in to more Uplifting House & and the Harder Piano tunes after starting to go to the ARK nights in Leeds. In 1996 I got a slot in a club, Eruptions, playing alongside some great Dj's including Steve Lugi, Leeds Gallery veteran until 1999. My music was getting harder, playing the very early Hard House sounds & Uplifting House, developing in to a Funky Hard house / Hard house sound with the odd bit of Edgier Harder Trance. I pretty much kept this style until around 2003 doing the odd club gig and loads of house party's. In 2003 I decided to start collecting Oldskool Hardcore, Jungle, Acid, Rave and hip house tunes in digital format & the odd bit of vinyl still. I know do mainly house party's & concentrate on doing good classic sets. I also keep up to date with all kinds of different trends of electronic music & dip in to all kinds of different styles. I'm in to all kinds of music technology, including Tracktor & Ableton Live (currently in learning!). I've also started mixing digitally too. Also dj'ed on Renegade Radio for 4 years & Phatt 100Fm in Huddersfield for 2 years.

I've been playing again at Oldskool Events over the last 12 years, mostly on vinyl and recently mastered CDJ's. Played on the same line-ups as Seb Fontaine (Radio 1), Paul Bleasdale (Cream), Alex P, Rob Tissera, Vertigo, DJ Sy, Andy Farley, Altern8, K-Klass, Dream Frequency to name a few :). A few events I've played for are Rejuvenation - Leeds, Joy - Leeds, Quench, and resident for Free2Dance in Preston. A dream come true!

FINALLY, more live sets from the club scene & house party's will hopefully be appearing on my Mixcloud page! So.... keep it locked!

  • Allan Morrow (UK) is a name which has become synonymous with the worldwide Trance community, this talented DJ & producer from the United Kingdom has spent years perfecting his production talents and in turn his music has received support from various high profile DJ’s such as Armin Van Buuren, Simon Patterson & Aly & Fila amongst many more.Allan first got immersed in Electronic Dance music by a visit to the clubbing capital of the world Ibiza; a trip to the legendary Amnesia for Cream followed and really opened his eyes to the immense power of Electronic music. Mesmerised by the Turntable trickery of Deck wizard Eddie Halliwell, this was a turning point for Allan and as soon as he returned to the UK he purchased his first set of Turntables, and began to hone his musical ear by perfecting the art of DJing. Not content with playing the music he loved to spin, it wasn’t long before Allan decided to set up his own home Studio and became involved in Music Production. Allan has invested several years mastering his sound and this has proven to be a valuable asset making Allan an Artist that produces 100% of his own material, without the need of Engineers or Ghost-writers, something that not many recent producers can claim today. This has lead to his productions being on credible labels such as Armada, Blackhole Recordings, Damaged Records, Kearnage Recordings, Mental Asylum Records, Tytanium Recordings, Discover & Many more!. Allan cites Paul Van Dyk, Simon Patterson, Giuseppe Ottaviani & Will Atkinson as his main influences when it comes to Production, so it comes as no surprise that Allan’s sound is rooted firmly in the more energetic side of the Trance Spectrum. His productions are always aimed straight at the global Dance-floors with club shaking Kick drums, Cone rattling bass lines & a touch of acid thrown in for good measure, his signature sound is always complimented by strong melodies, full-fire Synths & Clever FX which has earned Allan many plaudits from both clubbers, DJ’s & Producers around the world. With a discography that most producers can only dream of, the future is looking promising for Allan, one of the Nu-Breed Trance producers really making an impact on the modern day Electronic music scene.
