In this podcast episode, we are dissecting the meaning of sensory processing. Is this something that originates in our minds, in our bodies, or travels from one to the other or….. and this is a big - bigger than you’d think PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTION… From our perspective, that is, how we operate as humans, how we operate as coaches, …. neurodivergence is a whole body and being experience.
Go down the rabbit hole in our community and you will find the resources mentioned in the episode:

We are so happy to be back for our 2nd season!!! In this podcast, we are having the long-awaited conversation about Mindfulness and neurodivergence. We share our lived experiences to give you a look at how two neurodivergent coaches live well with our neurodivergence and how mindfulness came about in our lives to help.
In this podcast episode, there is also possibly a first for "talk" podcasts... we will share a neurodivergent-friendly mindfulness exercise.

We're back... well, we're almost back, stay tuned for Season two - coming October 18!

In this, the last episode of our first season, there are perhaps two messy questions we are working with today. What is closure and how does it relate to neurodivergently coaching? AND… What will we have to let go of for Terri and I to have closure for our first season here at Neurodivergently Coaching?
And…. it’s not goodbye…
We will be in the community, engaging and participating. You’ll be the first to hear about our developments in coach training, so buckle up for the fall. Don’t forget we already have regular live, free practice sessions, including Strengths - and if you’ve been to one, come back to another; there’s always a new twist. We have started our neurodivergently coaching toolkit- it is in the community, ready for you to access. It is a great opportunity to delve deep into the art of navigating distraction and reclaiming focus. This self-paced workshop draws from a rich tapestry of disciplines, including mindfulness, neuroscience, and behavioural psychology, and offers practical strategies tailored to your unique neurodivergent strengths.

As we considered the essentials, the foundational pieces we wanted to cover in this, our first season… our brains finally arrived at this IMPORTANT TOPIC for neurodivergently coaching – Executive Functioning or EF. So, today, the messy question we are working with is what exactly is executive functioning and how does it relate to neurodivergently coaching?

Today, we are excited and maybe even apprehensive to do justice to a topic growing exponentially RIGHT NOW. The messy question we are working with today is "What is the impact of artificial intelligence on neurodivergently coaching?"

Today is the second part of this two-part series on communication by, with, and for neurodivergent coaching. Today, we are working with the sometimes messy question, "Does my dialogue and physical presence match your expectations of how I communicate who I am, and how do we engage with that?"

Communication is such a broad topic that we have decided to do our first two-part episode! Today we start with the meta-view and the messy question that we are working with today is … What is being communicated to us about neurodivergence from the wider or systemic perspective?
This involves the messages we receive from a socio-economic and popular cultural perspective, and how these may come to bear on our coach training and coaching.
Stay tuned for the second part of this two-part-er for more on communication with and for - neurodivergently coaching - which will be in two weeks

Today, we are talking about strengths-based coaching. Our dialogue is centred around the sometimes messy question, "What’s right with you?" This is in contrast to the place folks often go when disability or neurodivergence is present—that is….What’s wrong with you?"

In the last episode, we spent some time dissecting the concept of normal and how there is no single normal in how we show up in a neurodiverse world. For this episode! buckle up - we’re having a conversation about what is common and what is different between us as neurodivergent people and how that shows up for us in neurodivergently coaching.
-
Buckle up - today, we’re breaking down misconceptions and how our relationships with the truth (as we know it) led us directly to neurodivergent coaching.
-
Today, we get real about intersectionality - the identities that walk in the room with us and those that don’t. We'll talk about how all these identities intersect or sometimes collide and the relationship of each aspect of our identity to power and privilege.
-
Today, we get real about masking. Asking what it means to each of us and to you, the listener. We consider the idea of hiding in plain sight and why this is a concept we resonate with. Join us today as we continue to unmask our identities and create courageous and vulnerable space for this journey. Today, we unmask through three lenses: lived experience and perspectives, masking during coach training journeys and on-the-ground coaching with our clients.

In the last episode, we started to unmask our identities and create a courageous and vulnerable space for this journey. Today, we build on this by weaving in neurodivergence and coaching, breaking it down into three pieces: lived experience and perspectives, coach training, and our experience as coaches.
-
Today, we are breaking ground and making it real. We begin by unfolding our identities, returning to the beginning with our origin stories and speaking to our unique lived experiences, neurodiverse stories and how they show up in coaching.
-
Neurodivergently Coaching is unscripted, bringing together our culturally diverse perspectives. From our unique lived experiences, we offer profound insights where neurodiversity meets coaching in work and life.
