- My guest today Michael Wardian has long been on my list of athletes I've wanted to converse with because he very well might be the new Most Interesting Man In The World. Beyond his running resume and achievements - of which there are many including running 7 marathons in 7 continents in 7 days (all under 3 hours), being the last man standing at the Quarantine Backyard Ultra during the Covid shutdowns (260+ miles in over 63 hours) and multiple world records...he also manages to carry a full-time job, a wife, 2 sons and multiple different hobbies and passions outside of endurance sports. Today, we attempt to unpack as much of it that we can, find out how he recovers so quick, how to get out of low moments during races, who he enjoys competing against and what's exactly in store for what may be his biggest endurance feat yet: running across America this May 1st from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean in a project called "Running Home". All to raise money for clean water projects to underdeveloped countries. + To Donate: https://bit.ly/3Mqx00W + YouTube Interview: https://youtu.be/aQu__82yDdg

US Forest Firefighter Jerry Garcia's path to becoming an ultrarunner was an improbable one. From growing up around gangs and violence in Los Angeles, finding trouble in the Navy and then getting mixed up in drugs and alcohol - even ending up homeless on the streets - it was hard to imagine a future around a healthy lifestyle of clean living and running. In today's episode with Hoka Ambassador and firefighter, we cover his incredible journey to becoming the athlete he is today, his tireless work battling blazes in the wilderness, overcoming drug addiction and so much more!

Honored and delighted to finally sit down with ultrarunning legend and trailblazer Krissy Moehl. She ran her first ultramarathon (the Chuckanut 50K) back in 2000 and has been dominating ever since. With wins at high profile races like HURT100, UTMB, Hardrock, Ultra Trail Mt Fuji among many others, she's cemented her name in the pantheon of the greats. But it was also her perspective and diverse work that I was interested in chatting about too so we cover all aspects of the sport, of life and what the future holds.

(Postponed release by two weeks due to protests)
Honored to speak with Canadian and Arcteryx athlete Adam Campbell (38:19). He has been a hugely successful ultrarunner who has suffered some tragic events. One nearly cost him his life when in August of 2016, he fell off a mountain during an FKT attempt. But the biggest tragedy occurred in January of 2020 when he lost his wife Laura "LK" Kosakoski from a ski accident. How does one find the strength and courage to move on? We get into it in our chat. Also, past guest and coach Jason Koop comes on (6:22) to speak and memorialize his friend, noted author and podcaster David Clark.
