  • The restaurant industry in India (and all over the world) is seeing one of its most trying times yet due to the pandemic and the endless lockdowns ordered by governments because of it. Maharashtra and Mumbai are no different. This past weekend, the Maharashtra government announced a slew of new lockdown restrictions which include a ban on restaurants and delivery apps from functioning after 8pm on weekdays, night curfews, weekend lockdowns, micro-containment zones and more.
    On this episode of Cock & Bull, Cyrus is joined by Pankil Shah, along with Amit and Antariksh. Pankil is the co-founder and partner at Woodside Inn and The Pantry Cafe. Cyrus talks to Brian about being a pioneer in the radio space, being a bit of a rock-and-roller in his younger days, studying commerce in college, starting out in a pharma company with a salary of just 300 rupees which got doubled the next year to 600 rupees, working as GSA for Pan American Airlines, then working at Air Canada and Air France, then finally getting into radio around '93 by which time Radiohead had come about. They also discuss growing up on Casey Kasem, working on radio in the early days of it in India, what kind of music he's into right now, liking Southern rock and soft rock a lot, how he started in events, what voiceover acting is all about, Cyrus and Brian doing events together, politics in radio, and lots lots more.
