  • In this drunken sunny episode of the Owlstalk podcast, Neil heads to the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Bar in Bugibba, Malta again to interview Chris and Isabel Skinner who are lifelong Owls fans who split their time between living in Malta and their UK home in Ayr, Scotland.

Amongst the topics of discussion are favourite Sheffield Wednesday players over the years, classic games, how Chris became a Wednesday fan at Hillsborough in 1959, and what they think of the new Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Bar in Malta.

It’s a podcast recorded outside on the streets of Malta next to the sea in the January sunshine.

About Owlstalk The Sheffield Wednesday Fans Podcast:

Every day thousands of Sheffield Wednesday fans come together to discuss all things about the Owls, and then more random subjects.

As the biggest, busiest and best SWFC forum with many different diverse viewpoints there is always plenty to talk about, and that is what we try to do in the Owlstalk: The Sheffield Wednesday Fans Podcast!

Sometimes we have to put the football to one side and talk about the people that make our club and community what it is: the fans.

  • Owlstalk's Sheffield Wednesday Podcast heads abroad! Something new as Neil flies out to Malta to speak to overseas Owls fans (its a hard job, but someone has to do it).

In this episode we talk to ex-pat Stephen Smith who has set up a Sheffield Wednesday supporters' club in Malta, based largely in the Scotch Corner bar on the island.

Stephen tells us about how a lad from Lancashire came to fall in love with the Owls, what made him set up the Maltese Owls supporters' club, his favourite games and players, plus much more... all from a rocky outpost by the Mediterranean sea.

  • Mick Jagger and Dot Cotton return to the Owlstalk Podcast studio alongside Neil and James.

This week: We review the 1-1 draw against Barnsley and take a look at upcoming games. Is it almost time for Carlos Out? We also review the shambolic Steering Group meeting with chairman Dejphon Chansiri and where the club is going wrong off the pitch (again).

What is the club's identity and are we losing it? Plus, plots, lots more. Including bad impressions. You have been warned.

  • In a small miracle, Neil and James regroup for a second podcast episode in a week! You lucky people.

This week we reflect on the match at Derby County, Glenn Loovens' sending off, Keiron Westwood's plea to fans, infighting at the club and more.

The kit is out! Viv Anderson is a girls name, Carlton Palmer has a book out, people are calling for Carlos Out. You can win a copy of Carlton's book.

PLUS: There's a bizarre segway into film reviews or something. Neil keeps showing James a photo of a bumhole. This might be the most surreal of all podcasts because Neil can't keep attention on one thing for more than 10 seconds.

  • Strap in for a rollercoaster ride with Owlstalk: The Sheffield Wednesday Fans Podcast, featuring Neil and James (plus an amazing Arctic Monkeys tribute from Steve).

This episode: we get drunk and be silly, talk about American podcasters, Polish hooligans and barn dancing. Neil and James take a look back at recent form and the Carlos Outers plus review and rant about the lack of 150th anniversary and pretty much the worst the club has ever been off the pitch. Is Joe Palmer to blame?

Where is the kit? Who watches the watches? Who proofed the Dream Scene? Where is our anniversary friendly? Do Fans Forums and Steering groups actually do anything?

  • The podcast world has lost a shining light with an Owlstalk Sheffield Wednesday Podcast presenter going on strike. Any similarities to the Fernando Forestieri situation are purely coincidental. On a triumphant return to podcast-land, we discuss stuff that has happened since the last episode, many moons ago. We don't remember much of the Play-off final against Hull City at Wembley. Neil got drunk and ended up on the telly somehow. Catering has been brought back in-house at Hillsborough. This is good news! The state of the club shop 'megastore' is bad news though. We hark back to the halcyon days of Crossbar Fudge and Danny Wilson toby Jugs. We look at the new kits, including the unseeable black away kit, the Leeds United style third kit and the good-and-yet-bad Ipswich Town style home kit. All the while, we're awaiting the Oven Man to come with his hammer and chisel and fix Neils' oven (we're still recording in the kitchen, FFS).

Who will win the big prize to the Premier League - here's our thoughts. There's the usual madness. Neil gets out his Keyboard again. • Episode 11 of the Owlstalk Sheffield Wednesday Fans Podcast! It is Episode 11. The eleventh Episode. Episode eleven. Better Butter.

Neil has been stealing hotel toiletries and using shampoo, but not in the traditional method. He has also been eating the breakfast of legends.

A big week of SWFC news and we skirt over all of it, including the 1-1 Draw against Ipswich Town at home, Fernando Forestieri's goal and him being voted the Owlstalk Man of the Match, the aftermath of the Class of '91 event, David Garrido's shocking penalty and more!

Did Garrido shoot first? How much does he spend on donuts?

Is Alan Shearer boring? Can Neil do an impression of Alan Shearer? Yes and no.

Have player days had their day? We talk about flags and specific days and fans trying to organise fun - does this work? Do people participate? Why are fans groups falling out about it so much? Do the majority of fans even care about gimmicks and being force to enjoy fun? And should we bring safe standing back?

How many 'song' threads are started on Owlstalk and how many of those songs get sung?

We join in the big debate of the week: How often do you use and wash your bath towel? We also cover the thread on Owlstalk.co.uk discussing breakfast cereals.

Games (read: Neil shoehorning in silly rhymes as the title of the same old game each week) this week include: 'Phil King's Funny Things', 'Big Ron: Where's He Gone?', 'Gary Hooper or Tommy Cooper?' and 'Lucas Joao's Painful Ows!'

We also give Owlstalkers the chance to play along with Jack Stobbs' Embarrassing Knobs.'

  • WE'RE BACK! Neil has returned from his travels of excess and can't string a sentence together, so nothing new there then...

This week, we talk about the loss to Bristol City and the rumours and speculation around that - including bizarre goings on with the teamsheet and too many loanees.

Neil tells us a rock and roll story from on tour and his phone just won't shut up. and then there's a parcel delivery that interrupts the whole thing. Professional.

James expertly fills the gap by listening to The Wednesday Week.. which is a bit... odd. They spend their time talking about Feminax. Maybe they've listened to the Owlstalk Podcast too much?

We discuss the anniversary (NOT CENTENARY) of the 1991 League Cup final win, with Neil's memory of the day out.

Are ticket prices too high? An Owlstalker has come up with a comparison this this season's Pay on the Day prices versus last season.

Games this week include 'Players in History and their Lunchtime Mystery,' 'John Harkes' Favourite Parks' and we take a visit to 'Carlton Palmer's Celebrity Embalmers.'

Steve is threatening to not post in his thread for three weeks, so there is a lack of updates... But we look back at some previous questions he has (not) answered.

  • This week Murdoch Mysteries star Thomas Craig joins the Owlstalk podcast, just as Neil goes AWOL!

Yes, that's right! We managed to get an interview at last! And no, it STILL isn't Alan Biggs... Former Coronation Street, Soldier Soldier, Where The Heart Is and current Murdoch Mysteries star (and lifelong Wednesday fan!) Thomas Craig tells us about shoehorning SWFC references into all his TV roles, not least an episode of Murdoch Mysteries which features a sub-plot based around The Owls' first league win in 1903 - and lots more!

  • Welcome back to the podcast you can't just hear with your naked ear. Just your eyes. Listen up and let James Bond introduce you to the latest mission... errr.. episode.

This week we talk about how we got featured by iTunes in the Sports, Games and Comedy sections. Just WHO has been listening to the podcast in Thailand? And finally an explanation of why we are in the 'Professional' category on iTunes...

Neil and James take a look back at the match against Nottingham Forest and yet another red card... this time for Barry Bannan (not in his Nannan's Caravan), who tackles in exactly the same way that Neil used to slide down snowy hills.

We prepared as much as possible this week by writing stuff on a whiteboard two minutes before recording. We were meant to talk about Siggi Jonsson, but forgot. We did however play a brilliant new game: MARWOOD OR YARWOOD?

Is Twenty Plenty? We talk about people who claim to have been getting away with buying concessionary tickets for away matches and the new price capping for away Premier League tickets.

What do former players do when they retire? Neil pitches the options of a 'Reda Reader' for Reda Johnson and a 'Semedo Supermarket' for Jose Semedo.

Owlstalk member 'Wild(smith) Thing' proposes a new 'Pop on the Kop' segment in the music section of the website, but it needs a bit of work, just like the way Neil thinks of separate words that rhyme and then tries to construct something to eventually get to some form of rubbish joke...

And the post of the week also goes to regular feature of Steve's Updates!

  • Neil and James record an earlier (in the day) podcast this week, and it shows... Neil is touching himself and doing animal impressions. Classic Sheffield Wednesday banter.

It has been a depressing time on Owlstalk following the loss to Rotherham Town this last weekend. We talk Neil Warnock's return to Hillsborough with the toytowners, the disallowed goal and whether or not there was fighting on Leppings Lane after the game. PLUS: Some advice from a Rovrum fan.

Tangents include more from radio legend Keith Skues, the sound of the trumpets, funny podcast reviews about brothels, tiger bread (kitten bread?) and ignoring more questions.

Should we have a women's section on the Podcast? We show why Owlstalk user Lindy is a prime candidate for doing it.

Neil forgot to ask Alan Biggs for an interview, so does it live on the recording this week...

And of course we revisit the ever-popular Steve's updates thread...

  • Like a Fernando Forestieri red card, this week's Owlstalk podcast for Sheffield Wednesday fans largely amounts to something about nothing...

So, yes, we couldn't go by this week without talking about that second-yellow-red-card for SWFC's Fernando Forestieri, which opens up a debate over whether online petitions work or are worth it, and we look at a very formal letter of complaint written to the FA by an Owlstalker.

Also, Neil has squeaky bowel movements as well as a squeaky chair. And it gets hot in the Owlstalk HQ kitchen, where Neil is breaking things.

After last week's discussion about pants, Neil uncovers the Tight Pants song which has been haunting James for the last few weeks.

We also discuss Owstalk fundraising, including the time we all raised over £10,000 for charity in a day and a current auction of a Chris Waddle picture in aid of Cavendish Cancer Care.

Plus, Owls fan Furious George has returned in a comical thread making fun of Tas with potatoes and we talk about the Album Club i the music section of the site.

And of course we revisit the ever-popular Steve's updates thread...

  • Admit it, you missed us last week! The Owlstalk: Sheffield Wednesday Fans Podcast is back with a brand new episode to brighten up your week following a small loss at Preston.

We take a look at how people's moods swing following an SWFC loss, demonstrated by the 'post a pic to sum up how you feel about Sheffield Wednesday right now thread.

A group of girls sing at the Owls' chairman Dejphon Chansiri away at Preston and become 'internet famous' in the process. Is it embarrassing?

Neil shows off his impressionist skills and admits he isn't wearing any pants whilst recording these professionally produced podcasts.

More questions come in from Owlstalk users, and we hear about how Neil cried when James put him in a headlock.

We have giddy fingers, find out about the new 4DX experience at Cineworld Cinemas, a crazy amount of bizarre 1970s radio adverts and find out which people were honest when asked about who their Wednesday heroes were whilst growing up...

Plus: we find out who is being a tosser in the Politics section (in James' opinion) and who has been asked out on a date by PM.

And of course we revisit the ever-popular Steve's updates thread...

  • Wanna hear an impression of Tom Hardy doing an impression of Reggie Kray? Well you're in luck, because that is what a Sheffield Wednesday based podcast is missing, right?

We perpetuate the non-existent podcast wars against The Wednesday Week (we love them all really - we're all Wednesday aren't we!) whilst harassing each other with videos on Facebook.

The Big Quiz Question of the week is based around naming bald Wednesday players, after a topic in the Dressing Room section of the site was asking why bald people wear plasters on their heads (do they??).

The stunned brummie was a popular video on Owlstalk this week after the SWFC match against Birmingham City, so we chat a little about that. We also listen to a piece of golden audio from BBC Radio Sheffield's Football Heaven where Jamie literally laughs at Sheffield United.

We also talk a little about Terry Butcher's Terry's Butchers - a butcher shop where Terry Butcher goes to buy his Terry's Chocolate Oranges.

The questions for the Owlstalk podcast are a bit rubbish this week (come on guys, improve it!) so we skim over that.

We also ban some people from listening to our professionally produced podcast (we are propa pros n dat, innit!) because it apparently isn't good enough for them (breaking news: it isn't supposed to be the most professional thing in the world, because, well, its an Owlstalk thing...)!

And of course we revisit the ever-popular Steve's updates thread...

In this third episode of the podcast for Sheffield Wednesday fans we gloss over the recent transfer window, discuss people who post about Nuhiu on Owlstalk and imagine what Barry Bannan's Nannan's caravan would be like.

Will kirby has launched his new blog about music and food called Beats and Burgers which has sparked a debate about whether meat should be cooked pink.

Critics of the Sheffield Wednesday Kop Band have reared their head again, so what is the solution to this problem?

Jim Phipps has made a comedy post about Sheffield United's Transfer Deadline Day non-dealings. Lemon Pips rhymes with Jim Phipps.

Neil has had a sandwich and it is repeating on him. It is repeating on him. It is repeating on him.

Owlstalkers ask all the big questions, and we fantasise about what it would be like if R Kelly sung the R-Whites lemonade advert jingle.

And of course we revisit the popular Steve's updates thread...

    Eff off Bez.

  • The Owlstalk Podcast returns for a new episode with more chat about Sheffield Wednesday fans posting on the forums!

SWFC have unveiled a new club crest/badge, which is actually an old design which was never used on a kit and the Owls' fanbase is divided. What can we say about it? Well, it apparently has pointy pupils and a white 'Leeds rose' as uneducated Neil puts it.

The telephone rings just as we go into the right shade of blue and James remembers a time he was thrown out of Hillsborough for saying a new shirt was the wrong shade of blue.

We also try and give an insight into behind the scenes at Owlstalk HQ, including moderator arguments and a fantastic new sweary word invented by Council Owl.

And of course we revisit the popular Steve's updates thread...
