Querida Salsa ocurre en cualquier lugar del Caribe o del mundo donde se reúnan dos o más latinocaribeños. En ese compartir siempre hay música y hay amor por ella. También respeto y admiración por quienes la hicieron y en las circunstancias en que la hicieron, dejando un legado inmenso para el mundo. Hablaremos principalmente de Salsa y de las distintas expresiones de esta en Nueva York, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia y donde quiera que haya aparecido una expresión local. Y por supuesto de la música de Cuba, el laboratorio original que alimentó las distintas expresiones de la llamada Salsa.
Sobre todo, hablaremos de sus protagonistas y de las historias que quedaron registradas en numerosas entrevistas desde el nacimiento del género, o más bien de la aparición del término “Salsa” por allá por los ahora lejanos años 60 del siglo 20. Pero también nos alimentaremos de las numerosas anécdotas que aprendimos, primero de nuestros mentores y amigos melómanos, y luego de los músicos que nos han compartido historias que ellos mismos vivieron o que les fueron compartidas por otros músicos. Las referencias no se limitan solo al ámbito de la música latina, así que no será extraño terminar hablando de Jazz, música clásica, o de cualquier otro estilo que haya cruzado su camino con nuestra Querida Salsa. -
