As we rap up PTSD awareness month, this was a topic that I could not NOT talk about!
PTSD = Post traumatic stress disorder. And it isn't all exclusive to military and Veterans. PTSD can come from a car accident, any type of abuse or any form of violence. PTSD isn't just as simple as having nightmares, it literally changes your brain.
Unhealed PTSD can cause you to be anxious, forgetful, exhausted and have trouble making decisions. Imagine how that stops you in the process of living out your best dreams and completing your goals. In this episode we dive deep about what PTSD can look like, how it personally affected Ty and exactly how it affects your goals as a goal digger.

Last week there was a death of a YouTuber personality that rocked the African American community. People had so many thoughts and opinions on if he should have died, happy he was died, sad he passed and completely indifferent on all of it because he was so contraversial. It truly had me thinking and having conversations about what people will say once I meet my earthly demise. Will there be memes? Will it be controversial?
Tap in as I discuss my thoughts about legacy and what leaving one truly means as well as lessons learned from watching a brief moment within the infamous YouTuber's life. Although I wasn't a fan (not a hater either), I was able to learn a few things from both his work and death holistically. RIP

What does social media, acting, Tyler Perry's new Netflix film "Madea's Homecoming" and goal digging have in common?
It hit hards on this episode. Tyler Perry made an Instagram post stating how he was told there was any money in the African-American film market, but show's how his new movie is trending. Yet...I hear so many complaints about his work.
I will never ever knock his hustle or be negative towards his brand. But this episode isn't even about Tyler Perry. It's the same effect as the Popeyes chicken sandwich when it first came out. It's the same effect as when Rihanna disclosed she's pregnant. (Congrats again RiRi!) But it's not about either of those two things either.
While I clearly discuss matters of entertainment, this isn't an inclusive conversation just to entertainment industry or the African-American community.

1 - Eliminate Sneaky Distractions! There are so many things you don't realize are distracting you.
2- Don't Look! What do Black Caviar, Peppers Pride & Eclipse all have in common? They run only looking forward. So should you. Your only glance should serve a purpose.
3- Track Your Results! Don't wait until the END of the month or year to track your results. Track them more frequently so you can see your distractions.
4 - Self Care Is VITAL! You have to love yourself enough to make sure you put yourself care a priority.
