Dave Jones is joined by both Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville for the final Monday Night Football of the 2021/22 Premier League season. During the pre-match build-up both Carragher and Neville review the weekend’s action with the focus particularly on both the title race as Manchester City dropped points at West Ham in the 2-2 draw and the relegation battle which saw Leeds snatch a point late on against Brighton whilst Everton lost 3-2 at home to Brentford.
Attention then turns to the analysis of Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to an Newcastle which now leaves the Gunners’ top four hopes in tatters. Neville feels they will not have a better opportunity to qualify for Champions League football and there can be no excuses from Mikel Arteta or his players. Carragher says the Magpies can push for a top four finish next season after they produced a inspired performance, he also expects them to invest during the summer transfer window. There is also reaction from Eddie Howe, Granit Xhaka and a deflated Mikel Arteta.
In the final part of the show the duo pick their individual MNF awards for the best player, best young player, best new player, best coaching performance, best goal as well as their picks for the team of the season. -

Dave Jones presents Super Sunday and is joined by Graeme Souness, Jermain Defoe, Jamie Redknapp and Alan Smith as they react to and analyse the talking points from Arsenal’s battling win against West Ham at the London stadium which saw the Gunners bounce back into the top four after Spurs’ earlier win against Leicester. All four pundits singled out Eddie Nketiah’s performance and praised the forward for his impact in Arsenal’s attack. Alan Smith feels the Gunners have now got strong character’s in the dressing room and look more ‘streetwise’ which allows them to dig out difficult results that they have previously been criticised for not doing. There is also reaction from Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale, Rob Holding, West Ham captain Mark Noble and both managers, Mikel Arteta and David Moyes.
