Carly Witteman (Class of 2024, Associate Editor) and Vaibhavi Hemasundar (Class of 2023, Print Managing Editor) knew they shared a double major: Journalism and English Literature. Through a conversation in the Norris basement, the friends realized they have another thing in common: passionate sentiments about the male gaze. In this episode, Witteman and Hemasundar discuss the origins and definition of the male gaze, its relevance in pop culture (and culture in general) and how it has affected them personally. Grab some popcorn and get ready for some feminist theory, silly tangents, "Twilight" references, hyper-femininity rants, manic pixie dream girl analyses and more.
