Автор подкаста — независимый журналист и документалист Кирилл Букетов — разбирается в причинах этой трагедии. Кирилл отправляется в Узбекистан, разговаривает с родителями, врачами и журналистами, чтобы восстановить события и понять, что же случилось той зимой в Узбекистане. История, скрытая за массовой эпидемией отказа почек, приводит расследователя еще дальше — в маленькую страну на западном побережье Африки. Там дети стали жертвами таких же симптомов.
