Fairfield, Iowa is home to just over 9,000 residents. It’s a place that feels more like a small town than a city. When Melissa Howard was found dead in her Crestview, FL home on January 6th, 2006, the case left investigators stumped. There was no shortage of possible suspects with motive to kill her. On Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, 67-year-old Stephen Reid was supposed to play in his weekly tennis match in Concord, New Hampshire but never showed up. When he and his wife, 66-year-old Djeswende Reid, stopped answering calls and texts, their family became worried. No one had heard from the couple in two days. After a massive manhunt through the nearby hiking trails by their home, a gruesome discovery was soon made, but not before police ran into a suspicious man living in the woods. A man they would eventually deem the “Mountain Dew Man.”

In the mid-to-late 2010’s an individual operating under the pseudonym “master” allegedly began uploading several disturbing original photographs to various online gore forums on 4-Chan and Death Addict depicting the mutilation of deceased pre-term fetuses and infants. This user also shared several photographs depicting the horrific taunting and physical abuse of several medically compromised and vulnerable children in a contemporary U.S. hospital setting. The original content was so disturbing - that users quickly dubbed the original poster as Dr. Gloves - a reflection of his unusual choice of attire. A hazmat coverall splash suit, elbow length surgical gloves, and a black leather BDSM bondage mask… Can you help solve a nearly decade long mystery?

(Part 2 of 2) After a cold case of over 20 years was cracked thanks to advancements in forensic genealogy, Phoenix police were certain that the Arizona Canal Killings were finally over. However, after 42-year-old Bryan Patrick Miller was arrested, authorities learned their suspect may have been much more active than they originally thought…From 1992 to 2013, several underage girls and women went missing and were never found. Others turned up brutally murdered. The locations of these violent acts were Phoenix and Tempe, AZ and Machias, WA. As it turns out, Bryan Patrick Miller happened to be living in the areas where nearly all of these unsolved crimes took place - giving law enforcement reason to believe that they may very well have a serial killer on their hands…

(Part 1 of 2) The 1990’s was arguably one of the best decades ever. Creepy Crawlers and Barbie’s Golden Dream Motorhomes were under every Christmas tree while “Right Said Fred” was letting the world know that he was far too sexy for his shirt. While these were some of the best years for many of us, for residents of Phoenix, AZ - it was all nightmares and dreamscapes. When two women were found brutally murdered a year apart from one another, the similarities between the crime scenes were too profound to ignore. 22-year-old Angela Brosso and 17 year-old Melanie Bernas were both riding along the Arizona Canal on their bicycles in 1992 and 1993. The residents of this city were sure things couldn’t get any worse, until a 23 year old cold case wound up producing several more victims, all at the hands of one man who called himself, “The Zombie Hunter.”
