  • Meditation has been a significant part of the Course’s history and practice from the very beginning. This, however, can be difficult to spot since the word itself doesn’t appear much in any volume. Even so, the Workbook in particular wants to train us to use meditation to obtain a state of peace and, eventually, an experience of God and our true Self.

In this podcast, Circle founder Robert Perry and executive director Emily explore meditation in a Course context. Topics covered include the role of meditation in the Course’s origin, three techniques of Workbook meditation, essential characteristics of Course-based meditation, when to meditate, how long, and more.

  • This conversation is a follow-up to ACIM Radio #6 entitled “What is God’s Role in the Trials and Tragedies of the World?” Based on the feedback received from that interview, there was some confusion around two seemingly conflicting ideas addressed:

    1. How can we choose everything that happens to us, and
    2. How can everything that happens be part of God’s larger plan at the same time?

In this podcast, Circle founder Robert Perry and executive director Emily Bennington go deeper into this issue and much more on the topic of God’s role in our lives. To download the episode guide, please visit circleofa.org/9.

  • How we view God colors how we view everything. If we see an angry God, we will always be looking over our shoulder waiting for Him to catch up with us. If we see a remote, indifferent God, we will always feel cast adrift in the open ocean. But what if we only saw a loving God? In this episode of A Course in Miracles Radio, Robert Perry and Emily Bennington examine our attitudes toward God and, especially, how A Course in Miracles portrays Him.

  • The Text of A Course in Miracles includes two words that have puzzled students since the book was originally published. Those two words are “our creations” and, while the Course calls them “our joy” and “our treasure”, most of us are left wondering: what exactly are they?

In this episode of A Course in Miracles Radio, Circle founder Robert Perry and executive director Emily Bennington discuss specific references to creations in the Course and explore the inherent connection between creation in Heaven and our creative impulse here on earth.

  • Everywhere we look there are tragedies playing out around the globe and it’s tempting to wonder “where is God” when faced with it all. How much does He know about our suffering and how involved is He in the pain that is so much a part of our everyday life?

In this episode of A Course in Miracles Radio, Circle Founder Robert Perry and Executive Director Emily Bennington explore the world as a meeting point between human mistakes and God’s correction. As the interview covers, heartbreaking events result from the combination of ego and free will, but God responds by giving us ways to correct for those mistakes including the opportunity to choose again and Guides that will lead us back home.

  • There are 15 references to angels in A Course in Miracles (including Song of Prayer) and they also appear throughout scribe Helen Schucman’s poems. Despite these references, however, angels aren’t typically discussed in Course circles and, when they are mentioned, they are often considered symbols that represent the loving thoughts of God within us.

But is this how the Course itself describes angels?

In this episode of A Course in Miracles Radio, Robert Perry and Emily Bennington walk you through Course teachings that specifically reference angels and expand on how they apply to your practice.

  • The story of Course scribes Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford is one that embodies so many themes from the Course itself. In this episode of A Course in Miracles Radio, Circle Founder Robert Perry and executive director Emily Bennington discuss the origin of A Course in Miracles and, specifically, what Helen and Bill’s complex relationship can teach us about the path of the Course more broadly.
