  • If you don't already know, AD was one of the producers that basically invented the whole beat selling industry almost 20 years ago.

He's also my business partner and co-owner of Midi Money.

By following a very specific strategy, we were able to do over $10k of beat sales in just 10 minutes and over $170k of sales over a 2 week period!

    Sounds crazy right?

BTW if you're wondering if funnels and the strategies we're talking about still work...that $10K in 10 minutes and $170K in 2 weeks was just a couple months ago in November 2020.

    So yep...still works 🔥

In this episode you're going to learn:

What a launch is and how it applies to selling your beatsHow to build hype & anticipation and make sales go 🚀🚀🚀The easy way to bump revenue from every single customerWhy email is still good but SMS is the future

Trust me, you're not going to want to miss out on this one!

  • In the beginning of her music career, Kris didn't intend to be a producer. She started out as a 🎤 singer/songwriter.

She paid producers to produce her demos, but she eventually ran out of money.

Out of financial necessity, she started to learn how to produce for herself on Logic.

As soon she broke that initial barrier to learn another side of music that she has never done before, it empowered her to accomplish all possibilities.

  • Omito had an incredibly early start as a producer. He download FL studios when he was only in the 5th grade 😱 A few years later, he sold his first beat in the 9th grade!

Then, another 4 years went by with the blink of an eye, and he was making over 💰 30k a year from just selling beats online coming out of high school!

Omito has progressed even more since this and I'm happy we got to connect. I certainly learned a lot from discussing everything from spending 5 bucks a day on promoting posts to how his first funnel was a total flop.

I hope you enjoy this episode with Omito Beats as much as I do!

  • Today, I’m welcoming my first guest on the Midi Money Podcast. And who better to start things off with than the man who inspired me to learn about business and marketing - my man, Anno Domini.

Years ago, as I was scrolling through my Facebook page, and I came across one of his videos that inspired me to try a different way of selling beats online. He opened up a completely new world for me, and for that, I’ll be forever grateful.

Back in the early 2000s, Anno was just starting out, and even then, the competition was mad. Pretty soon, it became impossible to make a breakthrough using the same approach as everybody else.

By diving heavily into marketing and business, Anno Domini was able to reinvent the game and on more occasions than one. Today, he’s going to share his journey and explain how he used funnel-building, niche marketing, and various other methods to build his empire, also known as Anno Domini Nation.

AD and I have collaborated many times over the years, and we recently came together once again to start Midi Money. Our goal is to introduce a new way of selling beats online to music producers and create a strong, supportive community where people can learn, grow, and build their business.

I’m really hoping Anno’s story and approach have as big of an impact on you as it had on me all those years ago.

    Key Takeaways:

How Anno Domini started selling beats online (1:48)What are funnels and how do they help you sell your music? (9:11)Why is owning traffic the ultimate goal of online marketing (14:47)Building relationships between producers and artists (21:04)How to stand out from the crowd (23:30)Creating irresistible offers for your clients (27:31)Relying on evergreen marketing principles to sell beats online (33:27)How we came up with the idea of Midi Money to help bring up the producer community? (37:06)Why is collaboration so important for music producers? (42:20)The cool stuff that’s been going on inside of our Midi Money community (45:26)

  • If you’ve listened to the first episode, you’ve heard all about my origin story. I was no different than any other music producer starting out. Struggling, grinding, and extremely focused on perfecting my craft.

For over ten years, I was convinced that the key to success was making better beats. I thought that if I just kept honing my skills, someone would take notice, and one day, my career would take off.

When I realized that it wasn’t going to happen that way, it hit me so hard I nearly gave up. And today, I’m so grateful that I didn’t.

I gave myself one last shot, and thankfully, I discovered Anno Domini and Russell Brunson, who showed me there was a better way. But in order to fully benefit from their fresh approach to online selling, I had to shift into a new mindset.

This mindset is the main differentiator between those who give up and those who stick it out long enough to make it.

In today’s episode, I’m going to explain exactly why 99% of producers fail to make a living from their music and share my thoughts on how to become the 1% who succeed.
