  • Welcome to CHUCKYVISION, a podcast about the horror franchise Child's Play and the main character, Chucky the Good Guy Doll.

Welcome to the monthly specials post season 3 of Chucky where Mark and Dev look at assorted tat vaguely connected to Chucky! In the second of a two part special we look at a gruesome twosome of episodes from the classic anthology series Tales from the Crypt.

Chucky creator Don Mancini pens this dark story of familial servitude when curmudgeon Ezra (Moses Gunn) forces his nephew Bobby (Jon Clair) to hard labour at his funeral home. We talk about this episode sticking out in both the series and Mancini's credits, and end with a fun trip with the Cryptkeeper's attempts at continued success.

Talk about killing it at stand-up, an aspiring ventriloquist (Bobcat Goldthwaite) learns never meet your idols when his childhood hero (Don Rickles) has been hiding a monstrous secret to his success. As well as enjoying the particularly eccentric episode, we discuss the history of Tales and it's host the Cryptkeeper, and his connections with our old pal Chucky.

Welcome to the monthly specials post season 3 of Chucky where Mark and Dev look at assorted tat vaguely connected to Chucky! In this episode, we take a look at Flatliners, the cult horror/thriller/medical drama film from 1990 (and a brief look at the 2017 remake/sequel too). One of Mark's favourite films, the (tenuous?) reasons for looking at it are that it was mentioned in season 3 of Chucky and then won a listener vote for what ChuckyVision want us to look at.

Welcome to the monthly specials post season 3 of Chucky where Mark and Dev look at assorted tat vaguely connected to Chucky! We have the first of two listener voted choices, and our winner this episode is Dolly Deadly (2016), a $10K indie horror about a troubled young boy obsessed with his dolls. Picked up by Troma with queer and drag influences, this was a surprise for both of us, but is it any good?

Welcome to the monthly specials post season 3 of Chucky! In this bonus offering, hot on the heels of last week's episode looking at Cellar Dweller, Mark has a chat with Malachi J Matthews and Hollywood Fletch about Cellar Dweller! It's a repost from Super Tat Film Club - the horror podcast that Mark was a co-host on way before ChuckyVision started. Why is this here? Well it's a tenuous link as it's discussing the same film that we looked at on ChuckyVision earlier this month and we thought you might like more of Mark getting giddy about Cellar Dweller and the monster that looks like Ludo from Labyrinth!

Welcome to the monthly specials post season 3 of Chucky where Mark and Dev look at assorted tat vaguely connected to Chucky! We have a rare instance indeed as we look at the only other movie Don Mancini has ever written! Sorry, hang on, Cellar Dweller (1988) was written by Kit Du Bois. But it came out the same year as Child's Play!

  • Welcome to CHUCKYVISION, a podcast about the horror franchise Child's Play and the main character, Chucky the Good Guy Doll.

Welcome to the monthly specials between pt. 1 and pt. 2 of season 3 of Chucky! We asked our wonderful audience for some Listener's Picks late last year and this is our second of two: the British mainstay of children's TV: ChuckleVision. Those of you with a keen eye may have spotted that it is this silly, long running TV series that gives our podcasts it's ridiculous pun name!

Chucky Season 3 Part 2 is almost here! April 10th, mark that in your calendars because this second trailer is getting us hyped and there is much to talk about. Devon Sawa fighting in a blood-filled elevator, Tiffany getting the lethal injection, and the many portrayals of Charles Lee Ray all together from beyond the grave! Will this seance end as poorly as the exorcism of season 2?

Welcome to the monthly specials between pt. 1 and pt. 2 of season 3 of Chucky! We asked our wonderful audience for some Listener's Picks late last year and this is our first of two: the 2013 haunted doll movie Annabelle. Mark had no idea this film had sequels nor was it part of a multi-billion-dollar franchise The Conjuring Universe. Mark also had no idea that it based on a real doll. Dev struggles to convince him with his extensive research that demons and ghosts exist in this world and our only hope is Ed and Lorraine Warren locking them away in a kitschy museum.

Oh, also this movie is not very good. But we assume that's why people voted for it...

Welcome to the monthly specials between pt. 1 and pt. 2 of season 3 of Chucky! Mark and Dev take a look at the newly released Screambox horror film, Here For Blood.

The wonderful folk at Screambox have a brand new horror comedy film out 'Here for Blood' starring Cult of Chucky and Chucky series star Michael Therriault. After Screambox faciliated our interview with Michael, it only seemed right to give the film a proper look too!

Struggling to make ends meet, a rowdy pro wrestler agrees to babysit a precocious 10-year-old girl. What starts off as a laid-back night of junk food and video games quickly spirals into bloody chaos as the secluded home is invaded by a cult of mask-wearing maniacs.

Directed by Daniel Turres and written by James Roberts, Here for Blood body-slammed audiences on the festival circuit. It won six awards at its Toronto After Dark premiere, including "Best Film to Watch with a Crowd," and went on to play FrightFest (Glasgow and London), IFI Horrorthon (Ireland), and Ramaskrik (Norway).

Currently holding an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie was praised by Film Threat as “a heart-pounding roundhouse punch of a good time.” Daily Dead called it a "fun-as-hell genre bender," and Starburst Magazine commended it as "an entertaining, splatter-filled romp that slams above its weight."
