  • You might be surprised to know that Australia’s aged care sector employs more than 360,000 extraordinary workers who care for more than 1.5M older people. While many of us associate aged care with nurses, they only make up around 20% of employees. This dynamic workforce is comprised of other roles such as personal care assistants, support workers, lifestyle coordinators, allied health professionals, cleaning, laundry, catering and administration. Graham Mabury sits down for a chat with two of them, Baptistcare Lifestyle Coordinator Kim Jordan, and Care Partner Ron Manuel.
