Chris is the son of Raymond and Carol Derickson, and the grandson of the late Richard and Caroline Derickson, and the late Art Potts and Esther Potts of the Samson Cree Nation. He is married to Jordan Derickson and has a 20-year-old son Justin, who is currently working with the WFN Youth and Recreation Department.
Chris has been involved in the WFN community for the past 20 years. During that time he has worked with youth, served on boards and commissions and facilitated strategic planning retreats for Council and the Economic Development Commission. Chris also worked as the Community Planning Coordinator, from 2007 to 2011 and was instrumental in developing the plan and getting it adopted through WFN Law.

Jennifer Harper has been making a name for herself in the beauty industry for a number of years but has been gaining popularity quickly after being on the hit CBC show, Dragons Den. Cheekbone Beauty is helping Indigenous youth see themselves in a beauty brand.
Having founded Cheekbone Beauty four and a half years ago, she has tirelessly worked a full-time high- level sales job in Toronto, Ontario while living in Niagara . It was important to her to raise her children with her husband in the place she grew up.

Jessica Matten is of Red River Metis-Cree descent and is directly a descendant of Cuthbert Grant, the first rebel Metis leader famously known for the Battle of the Seven Oaks in Canada.
Jessica recently is the star of the new Crime Drama "Tribal" on APTN Network. Jessica stars in Season 3 of Discovery Canada & Netflix's TV show "Frontier" starring Jason Momoa. She also can be seen in the new CW Network and CBC drama alongside Kristin Kruek in "Burden of Truth". Jessica also can be seen in the upcoming comic adaptation movie "The Empty Man" for 20th Century Fox studios which filmed in Cape Town, South Africa.
Jessica can be seen on 3 Canadian Screen Award nominated and winning shows: Frontier, Blackstone and Mohawk Girls. Jessica has developed a small cult following in North America for her performance in the starring role of Elle-Maija Tailfeather's short film, "A Red Girl's Reasoning". The film premiered at various festivals in Canada and the United States, taking home awards for "Best Canadian Action Short" at the prestigious ImagineNATIVE Film festival, winner at the Crazy 8s Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, LA Skins Film Fest in Los Angeles, and nominated at the American Indian Film Institute in San Francisco 2012.
Other TV and films include the Gemini award winning show "Blackstone" and "Pilgrims" written and directed by Marie Clements that Jessica starred in, was an official selection for the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival 2013.
Besides acting, Jessica runs an Aboriginal wellness and fitness company with her family called Lemon Cree where they have helped thousands of Aboriginal people achieve their fitness, wellness and health goals. She also runs the viral campaign #N8Vgirls to help spread awareness globally on the issue of murdered and missing Indigenous women in Canada.

Jace Meyer is a teacher, speaker, artist, entrepreneur, and Shopify's Lead for Indigenous Entrepreneurs. In her spare time, Jace also designs 21st-century classrooms, youth engagement training, and hackathons for social enterprises. She is Métis from Manitoba but lives and works in Ottawa on the traditional, unceded territory of the Algonquin Peoples.

Jay Soule aka CHIPPEWAR is a Native multimedia artist from the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation (Deshkaan Ziibing Anishinaabeg) located twenty minutes south west of London, Ontario on the north bank of the Thames River.
Jay creates art under the name Chippewar which represents the hostile relationship that Canada's native people's have with the government of the land they have resided in since their creation.
Chippewar is also a reminder of the importance of the traditional warrior role that exists in Indigenous cultures across North America that survives into the present day.
In addition to painting, Jay is a clothing designer, spending spring through fall on the powwow trail showcasing his art and apparel.

Multidisciplinary Métis artist Moe Clark is a nomadic songbird with wings woven from circle singing and spoken word. Mistress of the looping pedal, she creates sonic landscapes of layered voice that invite audiences into a trance-like space. Her poetic songs soar through these landscapes, with tonal and lyrical resonance. In music collaborations, Moe’s intuitive and sensual approach to vocal improvisation pulls from soul, gospel, folk and spoken word genres. She’s trained with the likes of Rhiannon (Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra), Pura Fé (Ulali) and David Smukler (Linklater approach).
As artistic producer she has collaborated on numerous projects. In 2013 she directed the 10th Annual Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Montreal, the first bilingual edition of the six-day national slam festival, which highlighted Indigenous languages and the art of poetic translation. Other collaborations include Bird Messengers theatre performance with Émilie Monnet, It Is Only Sound that Remains sound theatre with Shahrzad Arshadi, Tschakâpesh puppet street theatre at Place des Arts with Presence Autochtone, and Back to Where My Heart Belongs Cree language songwriting project with Joseph Naytowhow and Cheryl.

Andrea Menard makes music to raise the hearts and minds of her Tribe. Her voice is lyrical, raw, and reminiscent of the jazz and blues singers of the 1940's, yet captures the depth, humour and wisdom of her ancestors. She has released four award-winning albums, has been featured in dozens of tv and film projects and has debuted her own symphony show. Andrea Menard is also the Founder of the Sacred Feminine Learning Lodge.

Lesley Hampton was a 'third culture kid' and her early life was one of constant relocation. Formative years spent in Canada's Arctic and Atlantic, Australia, England, Indonesia, and New Caledonia, added to her quest to establish a personal and cultural identity. Lesley defines herself through the amalgamation of the indigeneity, to her Anishinaabe and Mohawk heritage, as well as, her early nomadic upbringing. Becoming a nomad through experiences with boarding school, international school, adoption, and cross-cultural experiences, Lesley nurtured a passion for socio-cultural concepts, to help define her identity, and reconnect with her indigenous roots.

James Jones is a traditional hoop dance artist who has performed and traveled across Europe, China, Australia, North America, and is ranked amoungst the Top 5 Hoop Dancers in the world! Some of James notable performances include the 2006 World Ski Cup Championship inItaly, 2010 Vancouver Olympics, 2014 Juno Awards, 2015 Pan Am Games, the 2015 Coachella Music Festival, and the 2015 Sydney Opera House
James has worked with such artists as K-OS and Snoop Dogg
In 2009 James appeared as a finalst on the popular TV Show "So You Think You Can Dance Canada"

2020 will see the release of her soundtrack for the award-winning Edge of the Knife (directed by Gwaai Edenshaw and Helen Haig-Brown, produced by Jonathon Franz), and a follow-up podcast to Play Your Gender, the documentary film Starr released (directed by Stephanie Clattenburg and produced by Sahar Yousefi) in 2016 on gender equity in the music industry.

Co-founder of Vancouver based SECTION 35. Justin is member of the Samson Cree Nation and was born and raised on the Samson Reserve in Maskwacîs, Alberta and is now based on the West Coast of British Columbia.
SECTION 35 was created with the mission to use art and fashion to empower and bring people together on the foundation of truth.
