  • If you have the pleasure to meet and work with Ricky Knox he will definitely have a major impact in your life.

He is the Founder of Tandem Bank - one of the first UK Challenger Banks.

He was one of the pioneers of the FinTech movement. He is a serial entrepreneur and had the vision to start a new bank, a good bank - when the Bank of England had only given one banking license in the last 100 years. I’m telling you, a man of vision, courage and wisdom.

The first mover advantage comes with challenges. Tandem had its own fair share of ups and downs, and in this episode we open up about them.

Ricky introduced me to the world of FinTech and entrepreneurship. And he had a huge impact in my life - not only he hired me but he gave me projects and opportunities that shaped who I am today. He is an amazing leader, entrepreneur and human!

    Let’s get into it!

    We cover:

Tandem’s funding crisis in 2017Lessons and mistakesThe “how to find your path” wisdom from his unpublished bookCulture! He’s the master at thatWhat he looks for in founders when making an investmentHis secret to having so much energy! How to create FinTechs where women can thrive

  • Today I introduce the evolution of the podcast into FinTech Product Podcast ;🎉

    I cover:

Why FinTech? Why Product? Why women? Who am I?

    Why? Because....

    1. Financial stress is at it’s peak. We as Fintechers have the responsibility to create solutions that solve customer pain points. We need to be well informed, educated and become better every day.

    2. It is hard to find great product people with the experience FinTechs need to create differentiated products, at speed. We need to train them.

    3. FinTech is male dominated. We need to educate and mentor women, and leverage advocates so that the next gen of Fintechers can see the difference. Less than 30% of UK's FinTech staff are women... I imagine worldwide is less. 17% of FinTech executives are women. It has to change

I'm Moni Millares, Mexican British living in Asia. I’m a FinTech entrepreneur and I build digital banks from scratch. My area of expertise is Product and I'm passionate about body, mind and spirit 🙏

What I've found speaking with Iveth is that GenZ are ambitious, hard workers, inspiring, conscious and have a vision for the world - at least Iveth does

She's 23, has worked in McDonalds, M&A and Ontop - a hybrid of Fintech and payroll / HR services that enables companies to hire talent remotely anywhere in the world..

What are the challenges of remote working? - she started her professional rcareer remote...How to hire talent anywhere in the world? How to process payroll payments to talent anywhere in the world? • If you are a Fintech B2B company, or a SaaS company as great as your product may be you rely on your marketing to generate leads and on sales to go on on long education periods till you close your prospect

This model is broken! Why because only 1 - 2% of your audience is in buying mode at any point in time, and then those leads conversion rates into sales are ridiculously low - eg below 1%.

We know it’s painful and it’s a matter of survival for most…

In this episode, Chris Roche, CEO of Catalyst consulting gives us an alternative: Demand Generation.

What is it? Why is current lead generation marketing broken? Eg download a paper in exchange for your emailThe real benefits in your sales cycle and ROIHow to convince your CEO or ExCo and much more

A must listen if you are in the product, marketing or sales team … and even more so if you are in ExCo
