This month's featured dancer comes to us from British Columbia, Canada.
Jackie began dancing when she was three years old by taking beginner ballet class, and has loved it ever since. She trained at a local ballet school for eleven years, but at the age of fourteen decided to pursue acting instead. After suffering an injury and needing something to clear her of the negativity that began to surround the theatre company she was in, she decided to take recreational dance classes at another local studio. However, she quickly began taking more and more classes, and was eventually dancing six days a week at her new studio. She has recently begun attending Simon Fraser University's School of Contemporary Arts dance program, and is loving it! In her spare time, Jackie enjoys watching cringey dance movies, making candies, and spending time with her friends.

This month's featured dancer is Emily Fennell. Emily is 18 years old and a graduate of the Harid Conservatory. Currently she is training in Vancouver BC. Last year she was the youngest member (17 years old) with the Cleveland ballet during their preview season after which she danced under contract with Columbia Classical in SC. Her additional training includes the Kirov academy of D.C., Bolshoi Academy summer intensive in NYC as well as 6 weeks in Moscow, and the Royal Danish summer intensive. Emily would like to inspire young dancers listening with her story through ballet. When she was 13 her dad was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. Although he was in and out of the hospital she never missed a day of ballet. Her dad was her biggest supporter in her dreams and he taught her to never give up. Throughout her dads illness ballet became a safe space for Emily to get away from the stresses of her life outside the studio. The main things that got Emily through his passing was God, my loving family, and of course ballet.
