Marc Lamont Hill sits down with conservative analysts Dr. Christopher Metzler on calls to defund the police after Sen. John Kennedy made some offensive comments on the topic.
Hill, a self-proclaimed abolitionist, says that police need to be defunded so that budgets are reallocated to social services.
"I don't agree and will never agree with the idea of defunding police," Metzler says, citing it as a public safety issue. "A blanket theme of defunding the police is more theater.

Marc Lamont Hill sits down with Christopher F. Rufo, a contributing editor for City Journal and a senior fellow of the Manhattan Institute, for an extended conversation on why he’s a prominent opponent of Critical Race Theory being taught in schools.
Rufo says Critical Race Theory is “state-sanctioned racism.”
“Teaching history, teaching context, teaching competing viewpoints is good. But what is not good is taking an ideology like Critical Race Theory, turning it into official dogma and then compelling students to believe in ideas like race essentialism, racial superiority theory,” Rufo says.
Hill pushes back on Rufo’s claim that is what CRT teaches.
“Critical race theorists hold that the law and legal institutions in the United States are inherently racist insofar as they function to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites, especially African Americans,” per Brittanica.

Multiple states across the country are banning the teaching of critical race theory in schools. In a Florida state board meeting, a last-minute amendment was added to the original proposal. It spells out that critical race theory as well as the 1619 Project, are examples of theories that distort historical events and are inconsistent with the state board standards. Many attendees showed their support in protest after a member of the Northside Coalition of Jacksonville called on the board to allow teachers to teach the truth. CJ Pearson, campaign manager for Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones, joins the show to discuss the banning of critical race theory.

Marc Lamont Hill sits down with Judge Joe Brown on the media frenzy surrounding Bill Cosby's criminal trial and subsequent overturned conviction.
Brown tweeted: "Anyone who was knowledgeable of American law would have expected and predicted the outcome of the Cosby appeal. Mainstream media and Hollywood incite public disorder by lying to the people about the law and encouraging mob rule. Hollywood reacts to Bill Cosby's release with shock."
