The last episode covering the fifth edition Monster Manual is here, and it covers quite a well known creature. But there is a lot more to Zombies than you may expect, so don't jump to any conclusions on how to use them. Marie also has a few little creatures to throw in for some ideas from the Miscellaneous Creature appendix for some final ideas.
If you've enjoyed this series, let us know what types of monsters or resources you want to hear about next!

Marie has two small time monsters to cover this week, which you may have a passing knowledge of. We are covering the Water Weird (with its 3.5 counterpart) and the Will-O'-Wisp. Neither one is a straight forward fight, but both have a lot of potential as additional obstacles in your next game.

We are talking about two classic creatures this week, the Unicorn and Vampire. D&D lore has a lot of standard options for both of these creatures, so you probably have a good idea of how to use them already. But there are some fun options still to cover, and both creatures still make great NPC's in a campaign or one shot.

This week we are covering some more familiar monsters, but with a few new ideas. Our monsters this week are the Treant, Troglodytes, and Trolls! There is at least one Lord of the Rings reference and one Harry Potter joke, though Marie may have had more than that. (We are nerds here after all.)

We only have two monsters this week, as Marie found one with too many variants to talk about. We are covering the Salamanders and Slaadi, both of which cover multiple creature stats based upon the life stage of the monster. One definitely feels a bit more Alien than the other though.

This week we have a mix of classic and unusual monsters. We are discussing the Remorhazes, Revenants, and the well known Rust Monsters! These are all fun monsters to throw into a game, even if you think you already know them.

We are joined by the wonderful guys from Theoretical Insights of D&D Rob and Eric for an insane explosion of flavor and sayings when we ask the question: What if Guy Fieri was a Fey Lord? Get ready to join us in Flavortown for some bomb dot com ideas, as we go off the rails from the start. We had some great ideas by the end though, so just hang with us through the episode!

We have two letters combined this week, since the letter Q only has one monster listed in the fifth edition of the Monster Manual. Marie goes over the Peryton, Purple Worm, and Quaggoth with some good ideas for a range of scenario tones.

There is almost a lot of social encounters, but these monsters aren't as talkative as you'd think. This week's monsters are the Naga and Nothic who are at least obsessed with magical items if your party has any.

We have reached the end of our time in the Land of Donum! All that's left is to discuss the epic conclusion to the campaign. We had a few ideas going into this section, but we only kept a few things in our fight with our ancient deity and Darrell. Will the heroes truly save the world? We won't ever know, but at least we know the outcomes!

Marie has two rather epic creatures to cover this week. We are headed to the ocean with the Kraken and the Kua-Toa! Both creatures introduce an interesting cult aspect with their lore, though in very different ways.

We are combining some letters this week as we look at two smaller sections in the Monster Manual. Our monsters are the Intellect Devourer, Invisible Stalker, and Jackelwere. If you have seen the new D&D movie, you'll already know a bit about the first one!

We are getting close to the end of our time in the Land of Donum! We discuss our chapter four adventure choices, which leads players to political intrigue in the Council of Cities or for an adventure in a mysterious library town. Either path puts them on the tail of our big bad. We have covered a lot so far, but we recap as we go!

We have some varied monsters this week! We are talking about the Harpy, Hell Hound, and Helmed Horror. On the surface these monsters seem pretty simple, but there is a lot you can do with them to mess with your players.
