Celebrities are always talking about their bests. Now hear them at their worst.
Join award-winning filmmaker and noted curmudgeon Alan Zweig for refreshingly honest conversations with “notable people” about the worst things in life.
Alan has no interest in best-selling books or Hollywood triumphs, and doesn’t know (or care) much about his guests.
He’s looking for real conversations that dig deep and get to the worst things: nagging fears, embarrassing secrets and haunting regrets. And he’ll no doubt share a few of his own along the way.

Synopsis: In search of a face-to-snout meeting with real Gay Animals, Laine travels to the Humble Pig Animal Sanctuary, where they meet a crew of runaway dogs, feral chickens and escapees from a pig farm. There they learn what a new environment can do for an animal’s sexuality. Then, Owen and Laine speak with Dr. Laurel Braitman about how zoos and natural history museums tell us a much straighter story about animals than the animals themselves.
Guests: Eliza Zeitlin, from Humble Pig Animal Sanctuary, and Dr. Laurel Braitman, author of Animal Madness: Inside Their Minds

Synopsis: Owen, Laine and a 200 year-old gay tortoise explore the history of scientific research into gay animals. From gay swans to self-pleasuring elephants and amorous giraffes, they learn how scientists have been understanding and misunderstanding queerness in nature for centuries. And they introduce us to a bold researcher in the 1990’s who helped us see nature for what it is – queer as fuck.
Guest: Joe Hollins - author of Vet at the End of the Earth

Nature is so Gay!
So why don’t more people know this?
Homosexuality has been documented in over 1,500 species of animals. From gay geese and bisexual bison to lesbian elephant love affairs and all-male, all-whale orgies, expressions of same-sex action in the natural world are all around us. Learn why a phenomenon so abundant is so often dismissed and forgotten.
Join hosts Owen Ever and Laine Kaplan-Levenson as they traverse the animal queendom, and celebrate Queerness, gender, and joy in the world around us.
Premieres Thursday, June 13.
