Hyun Soo graduated from Melbourne University in 2006 received honours. He practiced up in Sydney for six years until he joined our practice in early 2012. Extremely gentle, with a great personality to boot, he has been a welcome addition to the Grey Street Dentist team. Hyun Soo is thorough and therefore takes his time when it comes to the patients concerns. In keeping up with the constant change in techniques and materials, he attends as many courses as he can so we can always give our patients the best of the best.

James graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dentistry in 2014. He started his career in rural Queensland before returning to Sydney and now practices on the Central Coast NSW.
With a passion for continuous learning, James completes over 100 hours of CPD annually, focusing on digital smile design, orthodontics, and implants. His expertise extends to digital workflows, clear aligners, and aesthetic dentistry.
James's commitment to education is evident in his previous role tutoring final-year students at CSU. He has been involved in the General Dental Residency since its inception and has now taken on the role of Clinical Coordinator.

Dr. Fixler completed his Masters of Dentistry at Latrobe University in 2017. Gidon worked in Private general practice in Ballarat and Melbourne for three years before undertaking specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2021. Gidon currently works in Private specialist practice in Melbourne CBD and Geelong. In addition, Gidon is a demonstrator in fixed prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne and Latrobe University. Gidon is the current secretary of the Australian Prosthodontic Society (Victoria) and a co-director of the ITI Study Club Malvern.

Dr Thao is an Oral surgeon practicing in Sydney. After graduating from USyd Dentistry in 2012, she undertook a 4-year Oral Surgery Residency at the Sydney Dental Hospital followed by 4 years in private practice prior to specialising.
She currently works in private practice at the Sydney Prosthodontic Group in Chatswood, and at East Coast Oral Surgery in Pymble and Mona Vale. Thao also holds a senior lecturer position with the University of Sydney and a visiting specialist dental officer role at Nepean Hospital.
Outside of dentistry, Thao enjoys rock climbing and hiking. -
Dr Docherty is a graduate of the University of Sydney Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Dentistry, completing his studies with honours and a University Medal. He has engrossed himself in postgraduate education becoming alumni of the Fahl Cosmetic Academy, the Kois Academy, completing a two-year orthodontic mini-residency through EODO and the City of London Dental School and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney.
Dr Docherty is passionate about mentoring and teaching and is an examiner of the postgraduate Oral Implant Diploma at the University of Sydney.
He believes in a literature based approach to dentistry and is a co-author of the Wiley-Blackwell textbook âPractical Procedures in Implant Dentistryâ.
Dr Docherty is a core faculty member and lecturer of the Aesthetic Restorative Grad Dip at the ACDP.
Recognised for his contributions to dentistry he was announced as a fellow for the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
With his mentor and business partner Dr Christopher Ho, Dr Docherty grew a group of dental clinics âAbout Smiles Dentalâ from 2014-2022. In late 2022 they merged this group with Genesis Capital backed dental group to form âImpression Dental Groupâ. The group currently has 20+ clinics and a state of the art laboratory. Dr Docherty is the Chief Education Officer and an Alt Board Member for the group.
Currently in private practice in Circular Quay Sydney, he primarily focuses on cosmetic transformations.
In 2023 he founded Stitch Scrubs, a new range of medical apparel for healthcare professionals.

MEET Dr Lawrence Lau
He graduated from the USYD with a BDS, with honours, receiving an academic prize in Prosthetic Dentistry.
Since graduation, Dr Lawrence has spent extensive time on continuing education, to keep his dental practice at the forefront of dental technology. This includes the use of CEREC technology, to optimise the outcomes of his cosmetic and restorative procedures, laser dentistry, guided implant surgery, and a range of orthodontic treatments. His enthusiasm in expanding his knowledge comes from understanding the fact that dentistry is a relentlessly evolving practice.

MEET Dr Trudy Lin
Being the Young Australian of the Year for South Australia in 2022, she is one of only 25 specialists in Special Needs Dentistry in Australia. Trudy is involved in various national and international advocacy roles. Trudy is an honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide and on the Board of Studies for Special Needs Dentistry for the RACDS.
In addition to her clinical practice, Trudy is a certified mindset and leadership coach and workshop facilitator. She is the founder and director of Extra Mile Coaching, which specialises in mindset coaching for oral healthcare professionals.

MEET Dr Jon Ng
He graduated from UQ in 2016 and over the years pursued his interest in dental implantology through postgraduate training. Dr. Ng holds a Grad Dip. in Dental Implantology from the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology and is currently completing a Masters research project in Dental Implantology with Aston University, having also completed a 1-year implant externship program with NYU.
His passion in implant dentistry is further supported by his Fellowship status with the ICOI. He is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in the field and completes more than 300 hours of education annually on dental implantology. Dr Jonathan has received extensive training from renowned leaders in soft and hard tissue reconstructions.
