On this week’s episode of the Cultivated By Caryn Show, host Caryn Antonini is joined by two guests. Alex Keller is a fourth generation coffee farmer at family-run Finca Santa Isabel in Guatemala, which began in 1899. The farm is certified organic and uses biodynamic production practices. Alex has been growing, processing and exporting coffee since 1993, and he has served on the board of ANACAFE - The National Coffee Association of Guatemala – as Vice President and President and has been active with their foundation, Funcafé which serves to improve the quality of life of families in rural Guatemala.
Jay Kling is a specialty coffee professional, working as Director of Coffee for Irving Farm in New York. Jay has worked in specialty coffee since 2015 with a focus on bringing more value and equity to coffee producers through efficient and transparent supply chains. He has been a licensed Q Arabica grader since 2019.
Established in 1996, Irving Farm New York has led New York City’s coffee industry with their neighborhood cafes and over 20 years of roasting. Their focus is on sourcing, roasting and brewing coffees from their network of global partners. Finca Santa Isabel is Irving’s longest producer relationship.

On this week's episode of the Cultivated by Caryn Show, host Caryn Antonini is joined by guest Corey Gammill, one of the leading fishermen on Nantucket, where he has been a charter captain for the last 20 years, guiding over 300 charters a summer. Corey is also the proud owner of Bill Fisher Tackle and Fishing Director for Great Harbor Yacht Club. While he guides in the shallows and offshore, his specialty is targeting bass, blues and albies around the island. In the winter months, Corey fishes commercially for Nantucket Bay Scallops, a seasonal specialty from Nantucket, which is the last wild bay scallop commercial fishery in the world.

On this week’s episode of the Cultivated by Caryn Show, host Caryn Antonini is joined by guest Chef Sean Sherman Founder and CEO of The Sioux Chef and co-founder of Owamni, a modern indigenous award-winning restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sean is also the author of The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen, which won the 2018 James Beard Award for Best American Cookbook. Sean created nonprofit North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems through which he runs the Indigenous Food Lab. His mission is to revitalize Native American Cuisine and reclaim the Indigenous food culture that has been long buried and often inaccessible.

On this week’s episode of the Cultivated by Caryn Show, host Caryn Antonini is joined by guest, Sophia Bergqvist, owner of La Quinta Rosa, a family-owned working vineyard and winery located in the Douro Valley of Portugal. Sophia is a third-generation owner of Quinta de La Rosa and the only British woman managing a Port house. In 1988 Sophia took the reins at the vineyard, and together with her father began producing not only port but wine, olive oil and most recently, craft beer. Her picturesque property also includes a boutique hotel and restaurant.
