  • The creation wait for the unveiling of us - Romans 8:13-22, Romans 8:28

    Romans 8:13-22

    14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

    15 For ye have not received the (a) spirit (one's character) of bondage (slave, servitude) again to fear; but ye have received the (a) Spirit of adoption (sonship) , whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

    16 The Spirit (holy spirit) itself beareth witness with our spirit (new spiritual nature), that we are the children of God:

    17 And if children, then heirs; heirs (indeed) of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

    18 For I reckon that the sufferings (evil suffered) of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed (exposed or open to view) in us.

    19 For the earnest expectation (anxious looking with outstretched hand) of the creature (creation) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

    20 For the creature (creation) was made subject (to submit) to vanity (disappointing misery), not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected (submitted) the same in hope (the expectation of future good),

    21 Because the creature (creation) itself also shall be delivered (set free) from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty (freedom of glory) of the children of God.

    22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

    23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

    24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

    Romans 8:28

    28 And we know that all things work (labor, achievement, that which is accomplished by labor) together for good (worthy of affirmation) to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (of what one's sets before his mind, deliberate resolution).

  • Love God and look for the coming of His son - 1 John 2:15-17, 1 John 2:24-27, 1 John 3:1-3

    1 John 2:15-17

    15 Love (love which springs from admiration and veneration which chooses its objects with decision of will) not the world (kosmos), neither the things that are in the world (kosmos). If any man love the world (kosmos), the love of the Father is not in him

    .16 For all that is in the world (kosmos) the lust (sinful desire) of the flesh (flesh), and the lust of the eyes, and the pride (the character of a false pretender, imposter, braggart, boastful, pride, arrogant) of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world (kosmos).

    17 And the world passeth away, and the lust (sinful desire, mans depraved nature) thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

    1 John 2:24-27

    24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

    25 And this is the promise that he (Jesus Christ) hath promised us, even eternal life.

    26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce (lead astray, cause to error) you.

    27 But the anointing (rubbied in or smeared on, reffering to the old testament practice and reminding of the calling or rank) which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him (it).

    1 John 3:1-3

    3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed (given to) upon us, (in order that) that we should be called the sons (descendants, children) of God: therefore (on account of this) the world (kosmos: this arrangement) knoweth (ginosko: experiential learning) us not, because it knew him not (expressing full and direct negation).

    2 Beloved, now are we the sons (descendants, children) of God, and it doth not yet appear (to shine forth as to be seen) what we shall be: but we know that, when he (JC) shall appear (to shine forth as to be seen), we shall be like him; for we shall see him (with the eyes and look away from others, to regard) (even as) as he is.

    3 And every man that hath this hope (expectation of future good) in (resting within) him purifieth (to make clean, pure, chaste, clean, not contaminated by anything) himself, even as he (JC) is pure (from every defilement).

  • Enjoy the time of your life - 1 Peter 2-7, 1 Peter 3:10-12

    1 Peter 2-7

    1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers (elect) scattered throughout (of) Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

    2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification (essential, purity, holiness)of the Spirit (holy spirit), unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

    3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope (the hope of living again) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

    4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away (unfading), reserved in heaven for you,

    5 Who are kept (guard) by the power (inherent power) of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

    6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

    7 That (in order that) the trial of your faith (your tested faith), being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

    1 Peter 3:10-12

    10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

    11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

    12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

  • You have the ability and God with you - Ephesians 3:10-19

    Ephesians 3:10-19

    10 To the intent (in order) that now unto the principalities (rulers) and powers (authorities) in (remaining within) heavenly places might be known (may be made known) by the church (called ones) the manifold (infinitely diversified) wisdom of God,

    11 According to (motion to) the eternal (purpose of the ages) purpose which he purposed (made) in (remaining within) Christ Jesus our Lord:

    12 In whom we have boldness (speaking all one thinks; fearless candor) and access (a leading or bringing to the presence of anyone; freedom of access) with (remaining within) confidence (confident assurance) by the faith of him.

    14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

    15 Of (out from) whom the whole (every) family in heaven and earth is named,

    16 That (in order that) he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened (make powerful in effect) with might (the being able, ability) by his Spirit (holy spirit) in the inner (the within) man;

    17 That Christ (the Christ) may dwell (to settle down in a fixed dwelling, the place) in your hearts by (through) faith; that (in order that) ye, being rooted (to take root) and grounded (founded) in love,

    18 May be (fully able) able to comprehend (comprehend for one's self) with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

    19 And to know (experientially know) the love of Christ (the messiah), which passeth knowledge (gnosis - experiential knowledge), that ye might be filled (to fulfill, accomplish) with all the fulness of God.

  • You are chosen by Christ Jesus - John 15-1-17 ESV

    John 15-1-17 ESV

    15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

    12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants,[a] for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

  • Be thankful and enjoy life - Ecclesiastes 3:1-12 ESV

    Ecclesiastes 3:1-12 ESV

    3 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:2 a time to be born, and a time to die;a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;a time to break down, and a time to build up;4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;a time to mourn, and a time to dance;5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;a time to keep, and a time to cast away;7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;8 a time to love, and a time to hate;a time for war, and a time for peace.

    The God-Given Task

    9 What gain has the worker from his toil? 10 I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. 12 I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; 13 also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.14 I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him. 15 That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.[a]

  • Stand in the liberty Christ died for - Colossians 2:1-3 ESV, Colossians 2:6-7 ESV, Colossians 2:13-15 ESV

    Colossians 2:1-3 ESV

    2 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

    2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

    3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

    Colossians 2:6-7 ESV

    6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

    7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

    Colossians 2:13-15 ESV

    13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

    14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

    15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

    5 Therefore being justified (set forth as righteous) by (out from) faith (believing), we have peace (state of undisturbed well being) with (out from) God through (the dividing line) our Lord Jesus Christ:

    2 By (the dividing line) whom also we have (obtained) access (the introduction) also by (the dividing line) faith into (motion to) this grace (a kind, affectionate, pleasing nature and inclining disposition) wherein (in which) we stand, and rejoice (speak loud, boast, vaunt oneself) in (resting within) hope (expectations of future good) of the glory (a real knowledge of a matter, that which attracts attention) of God.

    3 And not only so, but we glory (rejoice also) in (resting within) tribulations (pressure, compression, hence pressure from evil, affliction, stress) also: knowing that tribulation worketh (effects) patience (patient enduring);

    4 And patience (patient enduring), experience (the state of being tried or having been tried); and experience (the state of being tried or having been tried), hope (expectations of future good):

    5 And hope (expectations of future good) maketh not ashamed (cause shame); because the love (agape) of God is shed abroad (to shed blood, to pour out, to kill) in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is (was) given unto us.

    24 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

    2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.

    3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

    4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

    5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

    6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

    7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

    8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.

    9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

    10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

  • You're bound unto a new covenant - Hebrews 8:8-12, Romans 8:1-4

    Hebrews 8:8-12

    8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make (consummate) a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

    9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

    10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put (giving) my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

    12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities (violations of law) will I remember no more.

    Romans 8:1-4

    3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

    4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

    5 Trust (confide) in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (discernment: power of faculty of mind by which distinguishing one thing from the other)

    6 In all thy ways acknowledge (recognize) him, and he shall direct (rightly divide) thy paths.

    7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear (reverential awe) the Lord, and depart (shun, avoid) from evil.

    8 It shall be health (healing) to thy navel (fig. for the whole body), and marrow (moistening) to thy bones.

    9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

    10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses (wine vats) shall burst out (overflow) with new wine.

    Trust, tithe and love one another

  • You are free - Philippians 2:1-4, Phillipians 2:9-13

    Philippians 2:1-4

    2 If there be therefore any consolation (calling, summons) in (resting within) Christ, if any comfort (stimulating force) of love, if any fellowship (Participating, partaking, sharing, communion) of the Spirit (spiritual feelings or desires), if any bowels (inward parts) and mercies (pity or compassion),

    2 Fulfil (Complete) ye my joy, that (in order that) ye be likeminded (think the same), having the same love, being of one accord (unity of life and love), of one mind (minding the same thing).

    3 Let nothing (not one thing) be done through (according to) strife (works for ambition) or vainglory (empty as to glory); but in lowliness (humility) of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

    4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

    Philippians 2:9-13

    9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given (gave) him a (the) name which is above every name:

    10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

    11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out (effect or achieve) your own salvation (safety or preservation) with fear and trembling.

    13 For it is God which worketh (to form by labor) in you both to will (the emotional will to do) and to (work) do of his good pleasure (desire).

  • Lean on God - Ephesians 6:1-12, Ephesians 6:18

    Ephesians 6:1-12

    6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

    2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

    3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

    4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

    5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

    6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

    7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

    8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

    9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

    10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

    11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

    12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    Ephesians 6:18

    18 Praying (to God) always (on every occasion) with (for or with respect to) all prayer (vows to God) and supplication (personal prayers of need) in (remaining within) the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance (strangeness or firmness towards) and supplication (want or need) for all saints;

  • Power comes from God - 2 Corinthians 4:5-11, Romans 10:9-10

    2 Corinthians 4:5-11

    5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the (as) Lord (the messiah); and ourselves your servants for (on account of) Jesus' sake.

    6 For God, who commanded (spake) the light (underived light) to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light (the illumination) of the knowledge (experiential knowledge) of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

    7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that (in order that) the excellency (surpassing, throwing beyond) of the power (inherent power) may be of God, and not of us.

    8 We are troubled (afflicted) on every side (in everything), yet not distressed (suffocated as wrestling); we are perplexed (not knowing which way to turn), but not in despair (altogether without help or means);

    9 Persecuted, but not forsaken (abandoned); cast down (to throw or cast down, to strike down), but not destroyed (perish, put to death of persons);

    10 Always bearing (to hold up) about in the body the dying of the Lord (Christ) Jesus, that the life also of (Christ) Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

    11 For we which live (the living) are always (forever) delivered (handed over to) unto death for (on account of) (Christ) Jesus' sake, that the life also of (Christ) Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

    12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

    Romans 10:9-10

    9 That if thou shalt confess (agree, admit) with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (Jesus as Lord), and shalt believe in thine heart (the seat of life, the starting point, organ of concentration) that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (made sound, preserved safe).

    10 For with the heart man believeth (it is believed) unto (motion to) righteousness; and with the mouth confession (it is confessed) is made unto (motion to) salvation.
